Im always amazed at the arrogance of politicians who believe that no aspect of American life can carry on without their guidance. The latest is example is Rep. Joe Barton (R-TX). Barton has introduced legislation that would require Division I college football to implement a playoff system or be fined if they call any of the Bowl Games a National Championship game.

As much as I HATE the BCS, I would hate it even more if the government got involved in yet again, SOMETHING ELSE!!!

Not sure even the government can screw up NCAA football more than it already is with undefeated teams not competing for a national championship. Well, maybe I was a bit hasty. They could f it up even more, but not by much. Ok, so maybe they could really screw it up far worse, but damn it how about you figure out a playoff system!?!?
The House is not interested in finding out about Obamas eligibility but, ooh boy, when it comes to football playoff rules they have the answer instantaneously.
It just shows where their priorities are.
Sickening invertebrates.
The United Socialist States of America sponsors the 2011 NCAA Football Championship. The Congressional Toilet Bowl.
Excuse me, I missed that in the Constitution. Where does it say these slimes can regulate sports? I guess they figure they can destroy sports like they have destroyed everything they have regulated.
How many people will want to go to the Orange Bowl and watch BYU play Kansas or go to the Rose Bowl to watch Cinncinatti play Florida or go to the Tostito Bowl to watch Virginia Tech play Georgia? Sorry bowl organizers these games are not for fans anymore, just playoff venues for the national champions now.
I’m much rather have them effing around with football than with our economy, healthcare, or how we live in our environment. As far as I’m concerned, they’re probably just going after some of the cash that these colleges get for overemphasizing sports and shorting education. But, on the ‘shorting education’ side, I guess if they’re really just teaching liberal crap anyway, what does it matter...as far as I’m concerned Congress can screw with football all it wants if they leave the other stuff alone
Whaaat? Don’t these guys have to wax the dog? Or something?
