Climategate & Global Warming: One Simple Graph is worth a Thousand Words
Posted on 12/05/2009 2:49:24 PM PST by Duke C.
Please right-click and save this graph. When you get a chance, print it out. The next time a leftist warmer rants on about AGW, show them this and ask them to explain the LONG TERM COOLING TREND that began 3900 YEARS AGO. . . .
PLEASE NOTE: The red and blue trend lines at the top and bottom were added for emphasis, and do not appear in the original table.

“What confounds me are Christians who call themselves liberal.”
I think one reason for this is, some Christians/seekers are more easily swayed by propaganda. (Look how many people who have been “seeking” spirituality have been caught up in the Oprah spiritual salad bar ideology.)

Also, environMentalism has become a form of religion for people who don’t believe in God.
Humans naturally seek a spiritual connection/meaning for life. In our culture, God has been removed and therefor they “seek” some way to bring meaning to their lives. EnvironMentalism is a substitute for religion for many people.

An interesting graphic from
globalwarmingart.com (notice correlations with Medieval Warm Period and Little Ice Age):
A history of long-term variations in solar activity inferred from changes in carbon-14 production in the atmosphere. Periods towards the top of plot correspond the times of high solar activity and expected warmer conditions on Earth.

Your chart showing past history? ... They were not only cooking current data... They were also cooking the historical recorded to change the accepted history to say it was not that warm in the past so you chart would not exist as "truth" Yes, they were very concerned about eliminating the "Medieval Warm Period", as that upset a lot of their premises.

I like this: Roman Empire warm, Dark Ages cool
Of course the ‘Dark’ Ages were cool. It was always dark in the dark Ages movies, and in the Roman Empire movies it was always sunny.

Note that on December 7, the Day of Infamy, we have the first day of Copenhagen, which seeks to do the world economy what the Japanese did at Pearl Harbor and we also have that twit at the EPA doing to the U.S. economy over CO2 what Ruckelshaus did to third world health over DDT.

I look at this and it tells me the Earth is normally warm unless lots of volcanoes or single super volcanoes erupt.

Global climate and trends in climate have a high correlation to vulcanic activity. Notice the Little Ice Age came after 24 eruptions from 1335-1360. I was surprised that Tumbura happened as late in the cooling as it did...1815, the year without a summer.

I love the chart. I'm just really TICKED OFF that this has to be. I tried to read an American Thinker article by Marc Sheppard...and darn it...I'm good at this stuff, but I'm so tired of having to be totally UP on it. They don't report it, we KNOW it...but it's brushed aside.
HUGE SIGH.

I noticed this chart a few days back at the site in question. It obviously gives a good general idea as how the large swings in temperatures happened over the past four K years or so.
