Normally....when one of the "elite' is caught with their hand in the till..the liberal crowd will ALL join in unison and sing songs like--"WWJD", or "he who is without sin.." or, we must show compassion"--and then rally around that person and protect them--and keep their wrongdoings hidden as much as possible.
So..WHY have they decided to abandon Tiger Woods??
Not that long ago...he was the "darling" of so many...a black man who rose to the top of the golf world...and seemed so "magical". At that time--NO ONE was allowed to question much of anything to do with him.
Now--he has been caught in an affair. Sure it is bad--and sure--many others do it. And therein lies the problem.
Many other of the elite have affairs too. Lettermen comes to mind. The elites did NOT throw him under the bus. I think he still has his sick show.
But now--if one just heard the talking heads and such-- but did not know who they were talking about --they might think that it is Rush, Sarah, Joe Wurzelbacker, Glen Beck or such--that is being trashed. But no...it it TIGER that the American pravda is now deserting.
I can only hazard to guess that "those in power" have decided he is NOT really on their side--and now--"let him get his". Possibly the inauguration events had a lot to do with that.
But I do wonder...why are they turning on their Tiger??
I think that they’ve figured out that any visibility that they give Sarah works to her benefit.
They need smoke to keep Obamacare afloat in the senate.
cuz he wouldnt golf with obama
obama golfs everyother weekend. sorry but libs like golf too
The media has been down on Tiger for quite a while because they say that he doesn’t do enough for Blacks. Really, they are bent out of shape that he married a white woman and now he’s been having affairs with white women.
I don't blame her. She must've been red as Santa's suit.
Maybe Tiger hasn't heard of "hell hath no FURY like a woman scorned........"
Best be tuning into that quote. It's 110% true.
Wow, isn’t that what Biden said of Obama, he was clean...
Now that Oprah’s leaving Chicago, she’ll be next.
I can tell you right off. From the beginning Tiger refused to sign on to the liberal, PC agenda. Early on, he would not allow himself to be manipulated. When the black establishment tried to claim for their own he demurred, referring to himself as “cablinasian” and would not be racially pigenholed. He has never kissed the rings of the race hustlers or paid them tribute or lent his name to leftish causes.
Most notably, in 2002, in the Battle of Augusta, when Martha Burke and the feminazis (with the NYT in their hip pocket) tried to pressure Hootie Johnson into allowing women to compete at Augusta National, Tiger blew off loud demands that he boycott the club.
They’re only too happy to watch him twist in the wind now.
“Sorry to see this though - had no idea that he was so shallow. I would bet that if his father was still alive, that he would not have been this immoral. He still need that father figure is my guess...”
hmmm...I’ve been pondering that whole Tiger/daddy issue today.
From the time Tiger was a baby, he was the father’s “project”.
For Tiger’s entire life, it’s been all about Tiger - the universe revolved around him and golf.
I remember reading some article years back when his dad was still alive and you could sense there was something “misssing”.
Dad was miffed about Tiger’s obsession with video games, and he wanted to develop Tiger’s altruistic/compassionate nature.
So I’ve been wondering today - maybe Tiger learned very early that it IS “all about him.”
And when those babies came along - his wife’s focus changed. Her priorities changed.
In other words - maybe daddy accidentally raised a narcissist without quite meaning to.
Because it turned out that the Tiger was actually a Cheetah.
It’s not a matter of losing sponsors. He will still be a draw but to the average American golfer - but he has lost that good-guy image. It is not about whether he still enjoys millions in earnings - it is about respect! He has lost that among many and yes, I am one...
I have no doubt that he will continue to make millions - such is life. As to respect, I suspect it dropped about 50% or so...
cablinasian like me
[1997]
And then Tiger Woods said he wasn't actually "black" at all -- he was "Cablinasian."Woods made his remarks on "Oprah," when he was asked if it bothered him to be called an African-American. "It does," he said. "Growing up, I came up with this name: I'm a 'Cablinasian.'" As in Caucasian-black-Indian-Asian. Woods has a black father (or to be precise, if I am interpreting Woods' reported ancestry correctly, a half-black, one-quarter American Indian, one-quarter white father) and a Thai mother (or, with the same caveat, a half-Thai, half-Chinese mother). "I'm just who I am," Woods told Oprah Winfrey, "whoever you see in front of you."
But just "who I am" remained contested ground. According to Time magazine, Woods' coming out as a Cablinasian caused "a mini-racial firestorm ... Woods' remarks infuriated many African Americans who ... see him as a traitor ... Some blacks saw Woods' assertion of a multiracial identity as a sellout that could touch off an epidemic of 'passing.'" Light-skinned Colin Powell, responding to Woods' comments, "In America, which I love from the depths of my heart and soul, when you look like me, you're black."
Adding fuel to the fire stirred up by Woods' comments are their political implications. Congress is considering adding a multiracial category to the 2000 census, and supporters of the controversial new category immediately seized upon Woods' statement as evidence that the old categories -- black, white, Asian and Pacific Islander, native American and "other" -- are inadequate. Civil rights groups like the NAACP, who are bitterly opposed to adding the multiracial category because they fear it will lead to a loss of black political and economic clout, are not likely to enjoy the spectacle of Woods becoming a poster child for multiracialism.
Bingo! We have a winner!
“There seems to be a rush of sluts wanting to cash in on their relationships with Tiger now that the dams been broken. Its a remarkably tasteless level of intrusion into somebodys private life, even for a celebrity.”
I’ve gone through a range of reactions the past few days.
At first I was tickled to watch his refusal to speak to the press.
I love it - they think people HAVE to talk to them just because they have a microphone - a “journalism” degree - and they demand it.
It is sad to see so many disgusting women benefit from this.
They knew he was married - they didn’t care.
These are not people we should be throwing money at.
On the other hand - when the 4th, 5th, 6th (and so on) chicks showed it’s been more difficult to feel sorry for Tiger.
The guy has made a billion dollars.
HOW STUPID DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO LEAVE SO MANY COMPROMISING TEXTS WITH SO MANY WOMEN HE HARDLY KNEW?
dumb dumb dumb.
Interesting theory... Might be true. I do know that his father played an enormous part of his growing up...so...?
They’re mad because he tried to stonewall. In general, one must ASK for forgiveness before one can expect to receive it. If he wants to salvage his career, he needs to go on Baba Wahwah and cry about how ashamed he is, etc. Then he can be “rehabilitated.” And if he thinks it would be humiliating to go on TV and ask for forgiveness ... well, maybe he should think of the humiliation his wife has already gone through, with everyone knowing her husband has been running around on her. No wonder she took a golf club to him!
Woods felt that the left was trying to use him to advance their political agenda and he just didn’t want any part of it.
So Tiger Woods acts like a fool in his private life. He’s still one of the greatest golfers ever. I’m much more concerned with the public fools in Washington because they’re screwing things up for all of us, not just themselves.
