I personally have been unscathed. Overall I’m probably more conservative in many ways than most people I know, but I’m also quite pragmatic at times. (FYI McCain was NOT the smart, pragmatic choice but I digress...)

(FYI McCain was NOT the smart, pragmatic choice but I digress...) In general, it seems like being "pragmatic" equates to being willing to give up on your principles "just a little". And then later, you give up just a little more.... until eventually you've lost all your freedom.

Pragmatism is good, it leads to accomplishments instead of being bogged down with indecision, inaction and unworkable solutions.
