Here is video of so-called White House "Party-Crashers" -Tareq and Michaela Salahi- speaking on the Today Show this morning where they said they did not "crash" the White House State Dinner last week given for the Prime Minister of India. They claim new information will come out soon that will cause this story to "take a dramatic turn." The Salahi's said they are "devastated" with the way the story is being reported that they are "party-crashers."
Matt Lauer said he would be talking with them more extensively later in the show today. We'll post video of it when it becomes available. . . . . (VIDEO)

Once again, the media is smitten with grifters and con artists.
Playing right into their hands.
Let’s say what others are afraid to say.
There is a lack of communication and trust between the Secret Service and the White House Staff.
They have different criteria for what constitutes a background check. The Secret Service cares about traditional security.
The White House staff has no concept of traditional security. They see these events as part of the perpetual political revolution.
It all makes a wonderful distraction and I’m starting to think that may be the whole reason the “breach” occurred.
Instead of congressional hearings on cap and trade, ACORN, Socialized medicine, we get congressional hearings on this crap.

Secondly...If it is in fact true, after having a discussion with a friend of mine who is in the Secret Service, I can tell you that this is entirely the fault of White House staff.
There is no doubt in my mind that these people were given the "OK" by someone on the White House staff
How did it even come out that they ‘crashed’ the party in the first place? If they didn’t talk, nobody would have known.
They must have leaked the info for the publicity. After all, Bravo followed them around all day as they prepared for the party, and it’s been NBC (parent of Bravo) who has been reporting ad nauseum about the party crashers.
My bet is the wifey has been using her “tools” to entrap and setup politically connected men and/or women with her husband’s approval.
with this administration, the White House has all the security of a savannah krall.

There were far worse breaches during the Bush administration and the media said very little. Now for some reason the attention of the nations needs to be focused on this.

BINGO, a total distraction that was planned to take ALL the heat off of any other REAL problems that we are facing. Iran, ClimateGate, Health Care, Cap and Trade, Deficit spending..... And look at how the MSM is falling for it hook, line and sinker. And acting like it is the only thing to report...... At the risk of repeating myself and others on this site, “We are sooooo screwed”

I totally don’t see a problem. A couple of tax payers attended a party at a public owned facility, hosted by public servants , paid for by tax payers. How could they be excluded?

I have not really followed this. Were they discovered and kicked out of the event at some point? Did they stay for dinner and the whole evening?
Dinner place settings are carefully made out in advance as to who sits where. Evidently there was no room at the inn for these two. Which opens up another whole line of inquiry. If they were waved in by a staffer, how come no place cards for them, etc. etc.
I wonder how they let themselves out.....did they go through a metal detector......and did it pick up any silverware?

They were discovered by netizens who notified the press, when the Salahis posted pictures of themselves with different party dignitaries - such as VP Joe Biden, or with Little Katie Couric. When people saw these photos on FACEBOOK, and already knew they were trying out for a spot on the reality show about housewives of Washington, D.C., some people "smelled a rat," LOL
