A friend of mine sent me this story of his time in the Marine Corps. Read through to the end, its a shocker.
What strikes me most is what he said as to where he grew up: Indonesia. He told me he wanted to be President of the US someday. I remember lightly smiling and commenting that maybe by the time he gets to be 40 or so, America will be ready for a Black man to be President and I wished him luck. We spoke of the racial tensions I saw at home while growing up and I asked him if he ever saw that overseas or since he returned back to Hawaii. I dont remember his answer, but we spoke more of his time overseas and his thoughts on life and philosophy of government. He made some strange comments to me, it was obvious he never set foot for any time in the continental United States and I told him he better realize that he is making judgments about the United States when he himself never actually lived there. I told him, Hawaii aint the United States!
He also told me something that I never forgot, for it caused me to do some other things in an effort to be nice to him and possibly a favor. We spoke of where I had been and the world as I saw it. I told him I had been to Africa , Mombassa specifically, and he said to me abruptly, I was born there. I told him he is not eligible to be president if that was true, but I remembered he said his mom was an American, so, maybe it was okay.

If you were a girl, I’d kiss ya. :)
can't answer that, I'm an Australian, the word has no meaning in my experience. But could this be close?
Amen! I'm also from the "Freeper class of '98" and I can vouch for the fact that RaceBannon has always been a credible poster and a highly valued FReeper. God bless you, RB!
BTTT for a great story (even if it got released in a way you didn’t mean at the time!).
It’s time for the Usurper to get dragged out.
Even if true, it’s not enough evidence.
LOL!
I have no idea where the word Mulatto came from, but the basic definition is: Half Black/Half White
Someone who married an Aboriginal, their child would be mulatto.
( Now I am going to search the origin of the word, it might be intended to be insulting instead of descriptive! )
His grandmother said in a radio interview that Obama is a son of the village
whether that meant a spiritual son with roots there, or
that he was literally born there is open to interpretation
However, I heard this guy tell me he was born in Mombassa. Straight up.
I have given that much thought of late. It seems to me that the myth of 'Dreams' has so penetrated the subconscious by being repeated over and over in the MSM - that even genuine Freepers find themselves basing their research and questions upon the myth, rather than taking a step back and away from what we are expected to believe - and basing our conclusions upon the very little truth that's available...
...which isn't much.
You see the result. Wiki says he left Hawaii in 1979. No one knows that for certain. He apparently graduated in 1979. There's an interesting comment here:
As a teenager, Obama went to parties and sometimes sought out gatherings on military bases...
Your uniform may have been an attraction.
How is it that his head is most definitely darker at what looks to be the collar line?
You mad at me?
That’s funny.
don’t flame me, I just don’t see it. He looks black to me.
Maybe I have been hard programmed over the years by the PC crowd. lOL
LorenC! You’re back!
Yes she did.
It seems he and his mother were quite secretive. I'm surprise no one in the MSM has shown more curiosity...
It’s a few dots. Get enough dots and you have a picture! I pinged you because it’s interesting. The accounts of people knowing Obama - or knowing of him are few and far between... so we have a mystery. That’s seductive.
naw...no flammage here. I just don’t consider him to be very dark skinned (i.e. “black”). IMO, he’s clearly light skinned and multi-racial (i.e. “mulatto”).
Just two different perspectives.
