Going Rogue Audiobook narrated by Sarah Palin
Amazon ^ | November 30, 2009 | My vanity

What's better than reading 'Going Rogue'?

Listening Sarah Palin reading 'Going Rogue', of course!

I'm usually not an enthusiast for audio-books, but how can I pass on Sarah's soothing voice narrating her book for 7 hours and 17 minutes?

Here's my question: Has anyone here bought/listened to the audio-book? How is it? And how much is it abridged from the print version?

Thanks.

That is definitely going under the Tree. And I already bought the book twice, my wife and I did.

But I still need the book for my 10 week old daughter. She is going to love it. Currently I am reading “TED, WHITE, AND BLUE” by Ted Nugent to her and she loves it.

“Here comes Ted Nugent flying through the air (the book cover)... flying through the air.... weeee!”

“The American Dream... The American Dreeeeeam, The American Dreeeeeam, dreaming the dream, the American Dream...in America!”

“Anti-American... boo-boo-hiss-boo!”

I would love this. I get a kick out of her voice. It’s another thing the left know is bad for them...she sounds like a midwesterner...can you say Ohio, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa?

Audio Books is the only way to go in our Family.

Sarah is going under the tree in our house.

I have the audiobook on hold at my local library, but they haven’t acquired it yet, so it might be a while.

I listen to audiobooks on trips, and I was hoping but not expecting that I might get her book in time to listen on our after-christmas trip.

Unfortunately, 7 people are in front of me, so the chances of that are nil, unless they buy 4 copies which they never do for audiobooks.

I have listened to many, many books through Audible.com. Recently I listened to the book “Confessions” by St. Augustine. I did not purchase Palin’s hardcover because was waiting for the audio version. I have young kids and many commitments, so listening to books on my way into work is perfect for me.

She is definately paying attention to Horowitz’s “art of political war.” It’s a book of sound bytes, and as such is best heard rather than read.

Found mine at Sam’s last weekend (before Thanksgiving) for $17.22!! Listened to it while driving to friend’s home in the country (about 1.5 hours) and when I got there was bragging about it so much, I wound up having to give it to my friend! :-)

Went back to Sam’s when we got home, they still had several in stock, and got myself another one (I’m hiding this one, LOL! Mine, all mine!!).

It’s very nice hearing Sarah’s voice telling her story. Even though she’s reading it from the book, she puts her own flavor and inflection into her passages...I heartily recommend the audiobooks for EVERYONE! My 9 y/o Maya even enjoyed listening while we were driving, and that’s high praise from a kid!

I heard Sarah mention Horowitz in the interview with Rush when she referred to the Democrats as sheep.

To my mind, Palin is the only candidate worth leaving the house for come election day.

Her references to Horowitz indicate to me she is the ONLY republican on the horizon that not only wants to beat the democrats, but isn’t stupid enough to try to do it by following rules the democrats ignore with impunity.

I can't wait to get this too. There's something cussing in Going Rogue, so I'm wondering if she actually uses the rough language in her narration. That'll be cool to hear her let it fly against the "headquarters" crowd if she actually does.

I’m amazed at how much Sarah sounds like one of my people, the Badgers and Gophers among whom I was raised. It must be Alaskan, for she didn’t live in Idaho very long as a child.
Still, I’d prefer that she speak less nasally, from somewhere deeper and more “mellow.” However, setting such minor considerations aside, what she says is so profoundly true and philosophically resonant that the tonal qualities of her voice become insignificant.
