A lib and a globalist. That summary he has on LinkedIn is bizzare and uses a lot of words to say, well, I don’t know what it says. Here is a sample: “Resilient Civilization is focused on frameworks for systemic risk management, horizon scanning - foresight intelligence, adaptive capacity building, cultural alignment and transformation.”

That reads like a wannabe "Futurist."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Futurist
The term 'futurists' most commonly describes authors, consultants, organizational leaders and others who engage in interdisciplinary and systems thinking to advise private and public organizations on such matters as diverse global trends, plausible scenarios, emerging market opportunities, and risk management.

The use of futurist and its synonym futurologist in the modern context of thinking about and analyzing the future began in the mid-1940s, when German professor Ossip K. Flechtheim coined the term futurology and proposed it as a new science of probability. Flechtheim argued that even if systematic forecasting did no more than unveil the subset of statistically highly probable processes of change and charted their advance, it would still be of crucial social value.

Richard — Thank you for the explanation. I remember being in meetings and listening to people talk like this guy accompanied by lots of PowerPoint viewgraphs. By the time the meeting ended, my head would be spinning and I’d walk out of there wondering what the heck was that all about.

LinkedIn is full of people like this guy — no substance, just fluff.

Allow me, please, to make a correction to my previous post, comment 25 on this thread. I’m new to this, and I misunderstood what a tagline was. I intended the phrase “appeasement on steroids” to summarize my comment, not me, and (for failure to read the instructions closely) did not realize it would appear in parentheses after my name. Be assured I am no appeaser.
