The OZONE LAYER.
I remember reading that by now, our skin would be burning off our face and blistering when we left the house. Whatever happened with the Ozone Layer scare?

That all went away when patent for Dupont R-22 refrigerant expired, so they had to say it was destroying the ozone layer so they could ban it and invent something else to sell us.
