Of all of the insanity that has come out of our current democrat/communist congress, this has to really take the cake. These dangerous loons have been spending us into oblivion for quite some time. The spending has been beyond irresponsible, it borders on treason.
This is a bi-partisan effort, by the way. Both parties are out of control, but the democrat/communist party is now out there where the busses dont run.
We all know the far left loons that infect Congress, and the nation as a whole, hate our military, despise it, actually. The lefts contempt for our military is palpable, has been forever. Now they are really letting it all hang out, going for broke.

It should be note that Sarah’s comments come about 1/2 way through the article. Those lead off words are NOT hers.
Sarah is disgusted ...just like everyone else.
November 2010 cannot come fast enough!
I agree SueRae. Here's what Sarah said...
Really? A tax on national defense? I hear liberal Congressional proposals and I, like most Americans, wonder if theyre serious. Were going to put a price tag on security?
With Congress and President Obama spending money on everything at breakneck speed, its interesting that they are only now getting nervous about spending but only when it comes to providing the necessary funds to complete our mission in Afghanistan. They dont need a new war tax to fund a strategy for victory in the war zone. They simply need to prioritize our money appropriately.
I find it telling that the Pelosi-Reid Congress is only cost-conscious when it comes to our national defense. Scary. Nonsensical. Unacceptable.- Sarah Palin
She is gaining power by the day!
These aren't Palin's words, they are the author's. And they are incorrect. In order for something to be "constitutional", it merely has to be deemed constitutional by the Supreme Court. The Constitution means whatever they say it means. And nowadays, it means that just about anything is Constitutional. It's a design flaw that was obvious at the time of ratification (see Antifederalist Papers 80-84). It's just one reason the Constitution should be junked.
Here’s how serious I am about sharing the pain. I’m willing to sacrifice the ENTIRE Department of Education. Zero it out and use the savings to finance our wars. Now congressman, what are YOU willing to sacrifice?
[WAR TAX!]
Obviously, an attempt to turn everyone against the war, problem is, it will probably work.
