This morning Big Government broke the story about an attempt by ACORN to obstruct justice by dumping documents into a trash bin just before a visit from the California AG's office:
...Interestingly, the local head ACORN organizer in California, David Lagstein was caught on tape earlier this month speaking to an East County Democratic Club.
Mr. Lagstein stated: “…the attorney general is a political animal, but certainly every bit of the communication we have had with them has suggested that the fault will be found with the people that did the video and not the people with ACORN.”
Continuing, Mr. Lagstein stated: “…we are fully cooperating, some of the investigators visited our office this morning and I think they really understand what’s going on.”
Shockingly, we now learn that the ACORN office in National City (San Diego County) engaged in a massive document dump on the evening of October 9th, containing thousands upon thousands of sensitive documents, just days prior to the Attorney General’s visit
Of course ACORN has a different explanation for the document drop, theirs is based in bull crap:

It must be fun investigating idiots.
If they don’t even have the presence of mind to shred documents, they’d be well served to refrain from engaging in criminal activity. Of course, they probably aren’t used to others looking into their criminal ways, and they are ‘spoiled’ in a sense. I’d love to see what their IT infrastructure looks like, assuming they have much of one.
If and when we take back the House and Senate if ACORN isn’t defunded completely we will simply hand power right back to the radical left.

It IS loads of fun investigating idiots. Had the pleasure of being involved in a lawsuit. Employees left incriminating e-mails on business computers. They stupidly thought if they deleted the e-mail from their ISP it was gone. PLUS, they seemed to forget about the documents they downloaded from the e-mails.
The fun part was seeing them squirm during depositions as they tried to explain away their illegal actions: actions that they themselves documented in multiple e-mails.
Sounds like ACORN employees the same kind of idiots.
They don't have to be careful - they're democrats. Do you think the MSM is going to run with this story? They won't even walk with it. Dems know the New York Times is in their pocket - along with the rest of them... If you doubt - show me the story in a newspaper tomorrow that condemns ACORN.
They are like cockroaches. And the FBI must be hiring like mad to take on all the corruption being exposed across this great land.
Oh, I don't know, I think ACORN is far too valuable to democrats for them to be thrown overboard. Jerry brown will go to the mat to vindicate and protect them and will instead focus all his power on prosecuting the videographers.
maybe it is time for FR to do a nationwide stakeout of Acorn trash bins, sort of like the media did to Clarence Thomas.

And to think, these are the guys that were enlisted by Obama to conduct the census.
I think RATS would love to protect ACORN but cant. The political damage of being associated with this criminal enterprise is too great.
I will be surprised if ACORN exists at this time next year. Sure, some of its scoundrels may start a new group but it will be years before such an organization attains the level of sophistication and influence that ACORN had.
