I think highly of Billy Graham, but did you know that he is a registered Democrat? It is maddening! How could ANYONE who is pro-life, vote for a dem?
He also spoke highly of x42 in his book “Just as I am.”

Not defending Mr. Grhaham, but being a registered democrat means nothing. As far as 42, Mr. Graham probably sees him as a prime example of the grace of God. Doesn’t the Bible say he came to save “the worst of sinners”?

So was Zell Miller, but did you see how he thundered away at his own party during Bush's second run?
The look on his face as he strode towards the podium on that fateful night exuded absolute anger and determination at getting his point across.
He looked like he was gonna kick some major BUTT,and he tore the Dems a new one that night.
Billy Graham may (or may not) be registered as a democrat, but I bet he doesn't vote that way.

You’ve got to remember Rev Graham is 91, I’m sure when he registered as a Democrat it was before the whacko liberals took over in the 60’s.

There are still many older southern, conservative Christians who consider themselves Democrats. I know many who wouldn’t vote for a Democrat however.

I live in the South, too, and my county is about 90 percent Democrat, but it doesn’t mean they vote that way, especially on the national leve. It’s just tradition here. There’s a lot of elderly people who are FDR, “Old South” Democrats. Most of the local elected officials are Democrats. But just as we have RINOs, here where I live they are DINOs. They are very conservative, pro-life and anti-gay and nothing like the national Democrats. They are actually Republicans but they don’t care to admit it. My county, which is about 10-to-1 in favor of the Democrats, voted for McCain by a 56-44 percent margin. Go figure.

Two things: 1. so you think that merely being registered a Democrat means something is wrong with you? Don't forget that Zell Miller was a Democrat (who was more sane than most Republicans today.

2. I take it you think that our Republican party is just dandy now. I would venture that about two thirds or our party need to have their ass kicked out. (RINOs)
