MOBILE, Ala. -- Action movie star Steven Seagal is best known in these parts for having played the cook who thwarted a terrorist plot in the 1992 thriller "Under Siege," which was filmed here aboard the battleship USS Alabama.
But these days he has another assignment.
For almost 20 years, Seagal has been working as a fully commissioned reserve deputy with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office in Louisiana.
His law enforcement work is chronicled in a "Steven Seagal Lawman," an upcoming A&E reality TV show that will premiere on the cable channel at 9 p.m. CST Dec. 2.
A&E is offering Web-savvy fans a chance to see a bit of "Steven Seagal Lawman" tonight. Two online sneak previews of the premiere installment can be seen, at 7 and 7:30 p.m., at www.AETV.com/Seagal.
In addition to the scheduled sneak peeks, the Web site is online now with behind-the-scenes videos and photos, games, cast biographies, an episode guide, production news and a shop offering show-themed merchandise.

I unashamedly admit I love me some Steven Segal movies, along with Van Damme, Norris, et. al....the badder the better....
Enough about the weight comments. If Chuck Norris lived on a diet of good coonass cookin’ he would blossum up real nice. Hey now! tonight’s movie choices are Steven Seagal or Barbara Striesand. What’s your pic?
Not to mention, his wildly liberal, anti-energy development, save-the-earth leanings. When he movies moved from arm-breaking to political messages, he lost my interest.
Can I pick a movie where Barbara is the bad guy and Segal tosses her off a building?
Would you settle for Robert Smith of "The Cure"
Love that episode!
>Whitney Yellow Robe. Apparently, “The Patriot” is her only screen credit.
Thanks for that. Not a lot of women can look hot in skin tight jeans like she did.
The only ass he’s kicked in a while is a buffet’s.
He was married to Kelly LeBrock, one of the hottest women on earth in her day. And his early movies were kickass.
Agreed.
However his newer movies are not up those standards.
He should study Clint Eastwoods career. There could be lessons for him.
His two good movies were Under Siege and Hard To Kill.
To a one, they despised Bette Midler, but loved Seagall....apparently he was very self deprecating and extremely nice with the other guests and any kids who happened to be around.
