In a Homeland Security Senate committee meeting, Frances Townsend launched a verbal attack against the Rev. Pat Robertson. Describing Robertson's remarks about Islam as "ignorant and offensive":
“Islam is a violent, I was going to say religion, but it's not a religion. It's a political system". “It's a violent political system bent on the overthrow of the governments of the world and world domination. That is the ultimate aim.” -Robertson
Senator Carl Levin was equally condemning. As was U.S. General John Kean.
The truth is that Robertson's remarks were both inaccurate and spot-on accurate at the same time. According to one definition of religion,- belief in a deity to be obeyed and worshiped, Islam certainly qualifies as a religion. Just as many false cults also qualify as a religion in that sense.
Islam is different in that it is not merely "another religion", but also doubles as a dangerous, often violent, Imperialistic political ideology at the same time.
The rest of what Robertson said in regards to Islam being a violent political system bent on world domination is spot-on accurate.
Townsend also put forth the notion that Robertson's remarks, and statements made by others critical of Islam, could have the potential of helping to "radicalize" moderate Muslims. Here we go again.

We have an obvious problem with Islam, Muslims in general, and this administration which clearly has a conflict of interest relative to America and its entire foundation from its founding to its present-day laws all based in Christianity.
Everything about this administration is anti-American and it should trouble America deeply.

I am no supporter of Pat Robinson, but he is spot on when it comes to Islam. How anyone can study the history and teachings of Islam, and not come to position that Islam is a violent religion is being purposely blind.
So, none of these jerks were able to refute Robertson....just attack him.
The liberals, Democrats and this administration (actually one and the same) will never wake up until it’s too late. Islam might be a religion to those who practice it but to those of us who reject the notion that they worship the same god as Christians it is a false religion and an anti-Christ. We are at war with the entire “religion”, not just parts of it.
Anybody who doesn’t believe Islam is a violent religion AND political philosophy that believes in world conquest is naive.

All Religions have basic agreements.. except ISLAM which is 180 degrees opposed to all other Religions. thus ...While Islam does not have a LIVING LEADER, it meets all the other definitions of a CULT.

I last read the koran about 30 years ago... so that was BEFORE CAIR and the Sanitized koran that they hand to Tourists and STUPID Liberals.
Direct comparison point by point to all other religions, Islam is either SATANIC at best, Psychotic at worst.
This argument is wrong on its face, they do not believe in a deity to be obeyed and worshiped; they believe in a charlatan prophet that delivers death to everyone for personal gain. Show me where this Allah has made a proclamation and I will show you a military and quasi-governmental movement intended on subjugation and domination of humanity through violence.
Further, the truth hurts those that hide in the dark, and enjoy ignorance regarding Kings, Despots and Anti-Democratic Politics. Sympathizers such as Frances Townsend, Senator Carl Levin, John Kean and the rest of the political class are afraid of loosing their extra-special privileges’ being the masters of smart at the expense of the citizenry. They should be scared, very scared that the electorate will resolve their foreign entanglements and allegiance to the enemies of America!

Clarity and truth is deficient within the political class and friends of government! For there are only a few types that promote or espouse Islam: the ignorant, politically corrupt, sneaks, cheats and liars.
Hey Frances! When a 13 year old girls throat is slit in the street by her brother for family honor because she was raped by her uncle and it was deemed her fault so she will pay with her life, when a young girl is stoned to death in the town square for similar accusations, when bombs are strapped to childrens bodies, when women of islam are treated less than animals and physically and mentally abused through out thier lives. You are a coward, a decietful, despicable, sorry a## representative of the people, you are one dumb a##! How do you face your mother, sister, wife and children after comments like this. Oh thats right your a politician first.
