It is interesting that food shortages in the world first became apparent over the last decade coinciding with the US-led effort to change the world's industry from growth to stagnation in an attempt to convert it to a green-based economy.

How much of this is a food shortage and how much is simply a food distribution problem?

When you have to ship food to California’s San Joaquin vally you need to get rid of the redistributionist.

As best I can determine, the free market has no problem delivering food to buyers anywhere in the world. The problem is that people dont have money to buy food. AFAIK, there is not a single place where people have the money for food, but remain unable to get enough.

There isn’t a food shortage, there is a Capitalism shortage.
Ever notice how the countries that are starving are either anarchies or socialist “republics?”
With Obama’s help, though we’ll be joining that group.
