To: Hostage

We are talking about machines passed around the public domain among persons who often have barely a high school education and who do this infrequently, and where procedures are locally controlled and subject to last minute local policy changes by persons unfamiliar with anything computerized.
+++++++++++++++

Computers need to be MUCH MORE hardened (like you say ‘black box’) to be trusted with this most valuable right.

No no computers! Paper ballots! You watch them go into the machine and you cant change them! No matter how much black box you put in they can be compromised compared to ballots which are carefully watched and with voter I.D. there would be no problem!Not just that what if there is a virus you lose the ballots computers are just a bad idea!
