GOUVERNEUR, NY - The computerized voting machines used by many voters in the 23rd district had a computer virus - tainting the results, not just from those machines known to have been infected, but casting doubt on the accuracy of counts retrieved from any of the machines

"If you think they are accurate you are as gullible as obama."

Obambi isn't the one who's gullible. Remember the girl who thought her house payment and gas for her car weren't going to be a problem after Obambi's election?

Now that's gullible...

Counting votes inside computers conceals the counting from the public. If key processes are concealed from the public, you no longer have public elections. If you don’t have public elections, The People no longer hold sovereignty over the instruments of government they have created, and it ceases to be a democratic system.

The core issues are not “security” or “assuring the public” as the author of this blog assumes. The ultimate issues are public right to know, and public ability to understand their own election without need for special expertise, and public controls.

Sounds like a recount on the horizon???

Maybe a revote? How can they know the whole election wasn't rigged? This is like a security breach. You have to assume that the whole process was compromised. If Hoffman had lost and this information came to light, the dems would be howling for a revote. They could probably get it, too.

I agree. Our supposed representatives do NOTHING about this fraud.

If the Pres election in 2012 has poles open for 3 weeks again this time expect the same result.

So the election is invalid and we have a new election with monitors from India or some other reputable country.

The ONLY electronic voting method I have see that I would trust is the mark sense reader variety. There is still a paper ballot marked by the voter. We had them in Bay County Florida and they worked very well.

I looked briefly at Sequoia and found that Sequoia was owned by Hugo Chavez. Yes, THAT Hugo Chavez. In order to stop the feds from very carefully examining the situation, Chavez agreed to sell Sequoia. This was all done fairly recently.

One thing that Canada does absolutely right is the paper ballot. They run the whole country on it and it never takes more than 24 hrs. to get results. If each precinct counts the votes in full public view and each precinct is totaled together, it’s not rocket science. Instead we let ourselves get rolled from hanging chads to invisible hanging chads.

Will this story EVER appear anywhere other than FR and the Gouveneur Times?

I don’t know if I’d resort to executions, but some prison time is definitely in order (done alongside violent criminals, not in some min security facility), along with permanent revocation of voter registration.

A simple code could be written from scratch for these machines that would be completely hack proof since they would never be connected to a network, and would give each person voting a printout showing how their vote was cast, that they could then turn in.

This would take about 30 minutes to write such a program.

I don't understand what the problem is.

Most of the information would be on a booklet located within the booth, and all you should have to do is press 1 for candidate A or 2 for candidate B ect.

Terrorists do “practice runs” to see if they can pull of their acts. Why should the democrats be any different.
