British bookies supposedly will offer you odds on just about anything...including possible poliical races. If I were heading over to London in the near future, I'd love to place a few bob on the odds of a Palin-Clinton race for the WH in 2012. Because it's a good chance that we will see such a race, and BTW, I wanted to be the first to predict such a possibility..so bookmark this thread...here's why
So, what about Hillary. Well, IMHO, she signaled her intentions back when she resigned the Senate seat to take the position as SecState. Indeed, it was fairly stupid of the Obama crowd to offer her the position. SecStates do nothing..all foreign policy is run out of the WH..so..she's teflon if something goes wrong. She's already more hawkish than Obama..not that tha's hard to be..so she got that covered. And by NOT being in the Senate, she escapes voting for all the dangerous legislation the Dem left is pushing through, or trying to do so. She's gotten a time-out..in a neutral corner...hiding in plain sight.
So the Dems are going to take a real shellacking in the 2010 elections. How bad, we don't know..how many seats will they lose..a lot...can they retake the House? possible. If they do, or manage to get close in both the Housee and the Senate..then Obama's legislative agends is DOA.
And in that case, look for Hillary to immediately resign as SecState, and announce that she will challenge him in the primaries for the 2012 race. Remember, after the bad losses the Dems suffered in VA and NJ, Bill Clinton wasa the only Dem who said that it was a referendum on the Obama administration. The team is getting ready for the last hurrah..the putative Restoration..And Obama knows it. That's why, IMHO, Craig was pushed out as the Presiden'ts council. He's a long-time Clintonista..and no way he can be allowed to stay in the inner sanctum. So, it's her last chance at the big brass ring, for a multitude of reasons.
Many of you here will recall that up until two years ago I was a long time resident of Chappaqua...unfortunately, right next door to the Clintons. I used to post fairly regular "Reports from Chappaqua" on the comings and goings.. inside stuff. Was recently back for a while, and spoke with some of my sources, and I can tell you that the inner staff is openly speculating, and speaking, about the likelihood that she's going to challenge Obama.
So, you heard it here first. An all female race in 2012, and we're guaranteed that it will be a "Madame President" taking the oath of office.
What sort of files does she have on him?
Obama will not be challenged for the nomination within his own party.
The Ayers and Dorne wing of the Donkey party already say she was racist for running against him for the nomination the FIRST time.
I just love how ardent Palin supporters have already handed her the 2012 nomination.
Do any of the rest of us get a vote?
I would like to offer a shirt design for the DNC convention
We all remember where’s waldo
Why not
“where’s Vince Foster”
(chalk line drawing below title)
Didn’t she announce before he did?
Wishful thinking as of right now regarding Palin. The energized base are not Republicans, so you can forget about the GOP “base”.
Where are you leaning Mr. Bob? ...pls don’t say Mitt.
Can’t fault the reasoning.
Except, thanks to open primaries, the democrats will again select the republicans’ candidate.
I’ll settle for someone worth a crap who can fix the desperate mix our country is in......
His birth certificate?
Sorry, I meant “mess”.
That is Conservatives for the Republican Party!
Mexicans have La Raza, Republicans have The Base!
Picture Hitlery and Sarah on the same dais debating on nation wide TV!
Hitlery would never put herself in such a position.
Dunn was just following orders from the Obummer.
2012: I have a notoriously bad record of predicting these things, but my guess is that Zero gets the nod easily and it’ll be somebody other than Palin for the GOP. Wife and I just finished watching her on Oprah. She’s not “presidential” enough (at this point, at least.)
Hillary wants to have coffee....Bubba wants to have...
I like Sarah and maybe like Michelle Backman even more. I worry that women will not vote for her. I know moderate and fairly conservative women who were uneasy with her. I am a man and have no problem with her. I might prefer Bachmann-Palin myself. I just worry that some and possibly many women want a man President.
