Vegetarian is a native American word meaning “bad hunter”.

If God had not intended for us to eat animals, how come He made them out of meat?”

I wouldn’t exactly call it taking aim but I agree with Sarah on this one.

I always remind people from outside our state that there's plenty of room for all Alaska's animals -- right next to the mashed potatoes.”

LOL...this woman really knows how to get under the libtards' skin. I love it.

I am a big fan of Sarah but she is wrong on what God intended. What God intended is found in Genesis. And what he created is perfect. God did not intend for man to eat animals because to eat animals you have to kill them and God did not intend for any to die.

Death is a result of sin. God did allow meat to be eaten only after the Flood. All the vegetation had died. In Eden, God gave man his diet......fruits, grains, veggies, nuts,.

Yes, after the fall of man, after Sin, God tolerated and allowed man to eat “clean” meats. But don’t ever say God “intended” for us to eat dead animals.

That is like saying God intended for man to sin and death to happen. Sin and the fall of man changed what God “intended” and even then God can turn that to his glory......the cross is his greatest glory.

Sarah needs a bible study and we won’t even get on the healthy reasons NOT to eat meat of any kind. Look at the Seventh day Adventists.......the healthiest people in the world.....practically......Protestants, Sabbath keeping and healthy.......u can’t beat em and they make the best doctors.....Sarah.....come on now....u can do better than that......READ YOUR BIBLE and start with Genesis......

Shame on Sarah!
/s

We have a vegetarian in our office, and accomodating him for meetings is a big pain in the butt for the caterers - nothing is good enough for his “special” tray. Once they only brought steamed vegetables for him - HOW SILLY IS THAT, to bring veggies for a vegetarian? He scoffed at them as if they were the most ignorant people in the world. Screw him.

“I love meat. I eat pork chops, thick bacon burgers, and the seared fatty edges of a medium-well-done steak. But I especially love moose and caribou. I always remind people from outside our state that there's plenty of room for all Alaska's animals -- right next to the mashed potatoes.”

Preach it Sarah!

This is really really dumb. What you choose to eat, so long as it is home grown or lawfully procured is a personal matter. There are a lot of conservative vegetarians. I don't remember RR going around insulting folks for personal choices that do others no harm, and it is time that Sarah stopped. And yes I enjoy a nice steak as much as the next guy.

And there is a difference between a "vegan" and a "vegitarian."

The thing is I do not want to be told what to consume. I am frankly sick of the food nazi’s telling me what to eat, hypocrites all of them.

I really hope this round is not a statistically valid sample of the true beliefs of conservatives, because if it is, we can pull a sheet over it. Politically it is dead.

I'm sure the guy on the right would agree. "Japanese people taste the best - whites are too salty".

... Unfortunately Palin’s viewpoints on vegetarianism is not only narrow minded but is also widely shared ...

There they go again. You vegans are the superior but minority species. We "carnivore" masses are such primitive, low-minded creatures.

If this is true, it doesn’t speak well of Sarah’s manners as a hostess. If I were eating in a Korean household and politely informed the host that I do not eat St. Bernard, I would expect to have that respected and not used as a jumping-off point for a debate.

These people posting “tsk-tsk” replies cannot be conservatives. I refuse to believe there are conservatives out there that are really taking her remarks this seriously. She’s making light of it. She was attacked over being a hunter and eating meat, so she’s now making jokes about it. Really people, learn to laugh a little.

It’s amazing that some on Free Republic have become moonbats!!

It’s a joke, sillies and not meant to offend, Sarah has made similar comments before about meat and no one here were going crazy........in fact Sarah said that her family diet includes lots and lots of fruit and vegetables along with fish and the caribou as a source of protein
