Just a ZOT on Romney and Palin: Is there a Trig Truther Story on The Horizon?
http://thomasalamb.blogspot.com ^ | November 14, 2009 | Tom Lamb

Posted on 11/14/2009 5:18:09 PM PST by theanchoragedailyruse

I received an e-mail from a very reliable source here in Alaska that there may be a story about to break on Sarah Palin's son Trig. The source received a hand written letter in the mail with the following statements:

Get word to S.P. Mitt R. paid off They have photos, copies + signed statement RE: Trig

Now I have to question who would have such information? And would the information be manufactured?

And now for my hunch if the information in the letter is true on Romney..

With Palin's book coming out in a few days and who she has attacked, I would venture to say, if Romney has info on Palin, it came from McCain staffers who are outed in Palin's book and are part of Romney's campaign.

And if the info in the letter is true, then it would put Palin in the same position as Obama is in with his birth certificate.

When you study Palin and Obama, you have two political figures who have the same charisma with their base. And you have those who have come out calling for Obama to produce his birth certificate. The same request would be levied against Palin.

Having seen Mccain's operatives pull their shenanigan's in West Virgina between Huckabee and Romney and what they did to Romney in Florida, it would not surprise me that ex McCain staffers that moved to Romney's camp, would pull a stunt like this.

If a story does break on Trigg and Palin, then it is by design...

Romney's resume? The faked endorsements from the NRA?

Or the faked positions on illegal aliens?

Or that critical received the endorsement of Martin Luther King?

"Mitt Romney Lies About Father ‘Marching With Martin Luther King, Jr.’"
"Mitt Romney has been caught in yet another lie.
Only yesterday Romney’s claim of not supporting Planned Parenthood abortion mills was abruptly smashed by a photograph surfacing of him at one of their fundraisers in 1994.
Today, it’s Romney’s claim that his father “marched with” famed civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr.
During his “I’m a Mormon but it doesn’t matter” speech, Mitt Romney claimed he saw his father,
George Romney, marching with MLK during a 1968 civil rights march through Grosse Pointe, Michigan.
It was a stirring account of the efforts of his father to show that the Romney family have always reached across ecumenical lines.
Only one little problem… it never happened."

"Mitt Romney went a step further in a 1978 interview with the Boston Herald.
Talking about the Mormon Church and racial discrimination, he said:
"My father and I marched with Martin Luther King Jr. through the streets of Detroit."
"Yesterday (12//07), Romney spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom acknowledged that was not true.
"Mitt Romney did not march with Martin Luther King,"
he said in an e-mail statement to the Globe.

Against Myth Romney is 1:

"On Sunday, June 23, 1963, 125,000 people marched down Detroit's Woodward Avenue
to the Civic Center, in what was described at the time as the largest civil-rights demonstration in the nation's history.
According to the next day's account in the Holland Evening Sentinel,
the crowd at the Center "lustily booed," when representatives of Governor George W. Romney
read a proclamation declaring "Freedom March Day in Michigan." But Martin Luther King Jr. didn't fault Romney for his absence,
which the governor ascribed to his policy against public appearances on the Sabbath.
"At a news conference following the march . .
[King] refused to criticize Romney for not attending the demonstration," the Sentinel reported."

Against Myth Romney is 2:

Susan Englander, assistant editor of the Martin Luther King Jr. Papers Project at Stanford University, who is editing the King papers from that era,
says Myth Romney was untruthful, when she told the Globe yesterday:
"I researched this question, and indeed it is untrue that George Romney marched with [Dr.] King."

Against Myth Romney is 3:

"King never marched in Grosse Pointe, according to the Grosse Pointe Historical Society,
and had not appeared in the town at all at the time the Broder book was published.
“I’m quite certain of that
,” says Suzy Berschback, curator of the Grosse Pointe Historical Society"

Of course, RomneyBOTs continue to attack these educated women,
who have spoken the Truth about Myth Romney and venal, odious deeds.

Maybe they are suggesting Mitt Romney is the father

May I suggest rather that Romney is a mother...

Cheers!

I vote for Gryphen.

The same alleged faggot who posted on August 1, 2009 that Sarah and Todd were getting divorced and that there were affairs on both sides.

Cheers!

That was before Palin had even done her first interview, almost 2 MONTHS before the election, not “days”, and was the only 10-point lead in a week that showed two 2-point leads and several Obama leads.

In the RCP average, McCain never broke the margin of error (hitting 2.8 on September 8, 2009). His state-by-state numbers weren’t really any better.

Palin of course was attacked immediately upon her nomination, by a press which hates being “surprised”, hates conservatives, and hates the idea of being kept from access.

Still, McCain did get a bounce from his pick and his convention. It just never really amounted to anything, it faded as most bounces do, and McCain was never able to sell himself. And when he supported Tarp, even Palin couldn’t help him. His support of TARP and his actions at that time (suspending his campaign for one) is what sunk him, not Palin, or the attacks on Palin.

I’m looking forward to reading Palin’s book, I suspect we’ll get a great view of how disfunctional and untrusting McCain’s campaign team was.

Your fixation on blaming a non-entity for what happened only obscures the truth, as I’m sure we’ll see when we all get to read Palin’s book.

On the other hand, I have little respect for most of the political consultants and campaign managers that were running campaigns in 2008. I wouldn’t want my remarks to suggest otherwise. campaign staff tend to overclaim credit and oversell blame.

Near as I can tell abortion is largely irrelevant w/r/t the problems we have today.

At roughly 1 million dead/year since 1973, it seems to me we'd have no need of illegal aliens or H1-B's to fill out the labor force without it.

Nice try, though.

How does the astroturf taste, by the way?

Cheers!

McCain was never really “winning”. in the RCP averages, he managed to climb to a 2.8% “lead” (within the margin of error) on 9/8, and then he collapsed again. This is typical “bounce”. There were less than a dozen polls out of a hundred in which McCain lead at all. The RCP average was “tie” by 9/17, and McCain never lead again — he never lead above the margin of error, and only lead from 9/7 through 9/17.

The average on 9/18 was identical to the average before the Democratic convention, which means the race stayed pretty much flat not counting the bounce for each candidate from their conventions.

Of course, most of the Palin negative stuff came out her first week, and McCain’s numbers went UP after that. So to the degree someone wanted to argue that McCain’s polls were affected by the attacks on Palin’s family, the effect was positive. After those stories receded, his polls declined (I don’t think the polls moved for that reason).

“Most people assume we’re twins.”

I believe people used to call that “Irish Twins,” FWIW.

The article is a chew toy, the poster is not.

I am shocked, SHOCKED, I tell ya, that a combination Romney/Palin thread about an unsubstantiated, cryptic rumor supposedly from an unsourced note sent in an unsourced email to a relatively anonymous blog, with baby Trig thrown in for good measure - and more that a little hint of conspiracy and backstabbing politics - would somehow attract the moderators' attention.

I mean, what could possibly go wrong?

He was born in Detroit. His old man, George Romney, was born in Mexico, or someplace in Central/South America.

I think the poster you replied to was being facetious.

What many people missed was that Levi Johnston confirmed Trig was Sarah’s child in the Vanity Fair interview.
