Columnist Steve Chapman who bills himself as "solving the world's problems one post as at time", has written this truly ignorant article about the Islamic attack on Fort Hood.
Islam and Fort Hood By Steve Chapman Conservatives have been quick to trumpet the fact that the alleged killer at Fort Hood, Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, is a Muslim--the implication being that Muslims are inherently untrustworthy, hostile to America, at odds with civilized norms of behavior or something. But if that were the case, incidents like this would be common, not rare. It would be absurd and dangerous to anathematize all American Muslims on the basis of one alleged murderer.

Who was it that drove him to declare it immoral for him to take up arms against another muslim in a foreign land?
That was his teachings from Imam and understandings of his faith.
There were plenty of Germans and Japanese who served bravely in the US Army. Sometimes of opposite theaters of combat and some, like Jews who immigrated here FROM Germany in their former homeland. But their allegiance was to the United States.
When do the enlisted men get to debate whether or not they agree with the war? And should they be able to do it not on grounds of “they pose no threat” but because the objector holds a supremacist worldview (I cannot do this to a “fellow” xyz).
I presume he is a dhimmi tool.
should be: “might have driven”
One....
One?

alleged?
Is Chapman some sort of hypnotist?
He sure has a special way of twisting the truth.
He's still only a suspect in this case, you see? Alleged murderer.
It would be wrong to lump all muslims together. Right now I am lumping all liberal journalists in the grouping of antiAmerican S.O.B.s
This so-called columnist, Steve Chapman, "might of" taken some grammar lessons to learn that the proper usage is "might have".
For the record, it was actually the blogger relaying this who committed the grammatical faux pas.
This is old news, Mr. Chapman clearly has trouble thinking critically about issues. We should simply ignore him and the horse he rode in on - the Chicago Tribune. He is simply not worth it.
Chapman, you are an idiot.
You gonna go shot up people now?
Corrected.
Sounds like this POS in a US Army uniform is insinuating that our military could very well be responsible for creating this monster! Who needs CAIR when we have cowards like Casey to do the talking for them? if these aren't his own words, he's obviously a mouthpiece for the Obama administration. I, myself, would've resigned.
Might HAVE. Not “might of.” “Might of” is what it sounds like when people contract “might have” to “might’ve.”
Yea I got it, I made a mistake.
The PC generals are part of the problem.
But did this columnist actually admit it IS terrorism?
Deprogramming liberalism is a 12 step process.
This was the report from Homeland Security this spring, that returning veterans pose a "serious threat" to National Security. Except Nadil Hassan was not deployed. So they are having to fudge the rhetoric.
Interesting. Though, at the time, I didn't have time to go digging down that rabbit hole to discover the true culprit.
However, have alook at the link now. The grammar has since been corrected.
