Prison, gulag, what’s the difference?
To-may-to, to-mah-to...
Yup, she’s ready to send people to jail.
Next question, was jail time also budgeted and if so, for how much?
Will I be taxed on labor I do while in prison?
This is a great strategy. We needed to employ it during the “Cash for Clunkers” program. Anyone who didn’t buy a new car during the program should be arrested. The same goes for the mortgage bailouts - everyone should be forced to buy a new home or go to jail. That would fix the economy. You can’t have a free democracy if people are allowed to spend their money the way they want. It would be chaos.

Exactly. These Dems throw the kitchen sink in these bills, and the courts are tied up for decades trying to sort out all of the unintended consequences. Of course, I’ve come to the conclusion that most of the consequences are not so “unintended” after all. I guarantee these congressmen and senators ask far more questions about what’s for lunch than they do about this monstrosity of a bill.

Unintended consequences!?! I dont buy it. Were constantly being told how brilliant these democrats are; how smart and saavy these Ivy League graduates are. Ok, I believe them!
Being such geniuses, they know exactly what the results of their actions will be. Therefore, the destruction of this county as we know it is absolutely intentional, engineered and highly orchestrated. They know exactly what theyre doing to us!
They are not useless, if you are George Soros or any other wicked power mad maniac.
Point well taken.
I would like to see who is exempted from this.
Illegals, those on welfare, felons, etc. That will tell the story on this as a big wealth transfer..
That makes it a two-fer.
Get convicted of felony failure to buy insurance and it becomes illegal for you to possess a firearm too.
Well, that was very artful.
That’s why I said “Of course, Ive come to the conclusion that most of the consequences are not so ‘unintended’ after all.” There are only two options. Either these people are the dumbest people in the world who know less about the economy than the average store clerk OR they DO know the consequences of their actions and choose to do them anyway. IOW, Congress couldn’t care less about ambiguities, obtuseness, and mutually exclusive components of the bill. Their only goal is to pass it NOW. Let someone else deal with the fallout.
Congresscritters have a bigger reason than ever to stay in office, keeping their privileged healthcare system (unless the grandfather for FORMER politicos as well).
