GOP leaders have been loathe to criticize Rush Limbaugh -- but House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) is taking issue with Limbaugh's claim that President Obama's push for health care was comparable to Hitler's stranglehold on Germany.
Cantor, the highest-ranking Jewish Republican elected official in the country, told Bloomberg News that his party needs to be more inclusive to regain power.
The Republican Party in its roots is a party of inclusion and we ought to be promoting that and making sure that voices are heard, Cantor, of Virginia, said in an interview on Bloomberg Televisions Political Capital with Al Hunt, airing today.
Cantor praised Limbaugh as a voice of the conservative movement. But Cantor objected when asked about Limbaughs comments that Adolf Hitler like Barack Obama, also ruled by dictate" -- and about Rush's comparison of the Obama administrations health-care logo to a swastika.
Do I condone the mention of Hitler in any discussion about politics? Cantor said. No, I dont, because obviously that is something that conjures up images that frankly are not, I think, very helpful.
A Cantor spokesman also said that signs at Thursday's Hill Tea Party showing murdered Jews at Dachau were "inappropriate."

Cantor is a reliable conservative. While I would agree with you about his being sensitive to the issue, he's still a squish.
To: Free ThinkerNY
I agree with Cantor.
The better comparison would be Mussolini.
Or Capone.

Too bad, idiot. We find it very helpful to discuss historic parallels, especially when they are manifestly obvious to anyone not blinded with the CS spray of "bipartisanship".
Go join Senator Sphyncter with the rest of goats/Democrats.

Meanwhile the Democrats are saying that the Republicans want HALF of America to die by denying them Obamacare and the President himself said that his critics were LYING (prompting Joe Wilson to declare YOU Lie) and now that we are seeing the final language of the bill, it is clear that things Obama DENIED were in it (like public funding of abortions) are there.

By your reasoning, neither Hitler nor Nazis should ever be mentioned again in any context because it would be breaking some imaginary rule that was most likely made up by pimply college kids arguing on a message board about whether Cindy Crawford or Brooke Shields was hotter.Honestly? Are you serious? Your joking right?

I did not say only RINOs, all the RINOs, his favorite is Newt, oh and not a RINO but he loves Al Sharpton. Cantor is
not very bright to comment about Rush with the base as mad as they are. Rush has explained his comparison many times, Cantor obviously does not listen to his show. Hannity liked Rudy so maybe he is a RINO.

NY 23 was not some GREAT VICTORY.
The seat went DEMOCRATIC in a supposedly solid conservative district.
And conservatives CAN NOT WIN without the REPUBLICANS.
Wrong again, buddy. It was not a great win, but it was a win, because the leftist posing as a Republican got booted, essentially from the GOP. Had she run, a lot of good conservatives would have been suckered into voting for her. Instead, she is unemployed and will never run again as a Republican. The only thing worse than a Democrat winning is a Democrat winning as a Republican so that Republicans have to take the blame for all the ridiculous crap they do.
Also, it is my understanding that the district in question routinely elects Democrats, so referring to it as some kind of conservative stronghold is blatantly incorrect.

I can not help but note you take your name from a character in possibly the worst comic book ever written.
Talk about a liberal comic-book storyline ... And you want to call an actual CONSERVATIVE congressman a Democrat?

Rush says things that politicians can’t, but if they don’t like it, they should just keep their traps shut. It seems like some Republican pols think that condemning conservatives is going to buy them some juice with the Democrats and the MSM. They’ve learned nothing from McCain’s experience.

Rush was responding to Pelosi calling town hall participants Nazis.
Cantor obviously was not listening, and gets his info from the state run media.

You don't seem to understand the purpose behind an election ...
You said It was not a great win, but it was a win,
That is not a correct statement.
Real EASY way to clear up the confusion, Just remember this one simple statement:
The point of any election is to be declared the winner.
Hope This Helps!!!
