Obama accused Bush of staging a photo-op with wounded troops in '07
The Obama Report ^ | 11/2/09

In an interview with Fox News on Sunday, Rush Limbaugh suggested that President Obama's recent visit to Dover Air Force Base was nothing more than a staged photo-op. This elicited a torrent of outrage from pundits in the liberal mainstream media.

Conversely, when Obama made similar remarks about former president Bush, the mainstream media didn't even bat an eyelash.

As I noted in my previous post, in March of 2007, President Bush toured Walter Reed Army Medical Center after he had learned of the dilapidated conditions there and the poor quality of care that the patients were receiving - which prompted the following remark from Obama:

"The problems plaguing our military hospital system will not be solved with a photo-op."

But this particular remark didn't seem to bother the mainstream media.

Double standard?

Perhaps.

Or maybe it's just a severe case of selective amnesia.....

I just love the Intarweb. Otherwise gems like this would be lost to the blizzard of lame-stream propaganda.

The thing is, Pres. Bush didn’t wait until he was in political trouble to visit with troops, both healthy and wounded, or the families of fallen warriors.

"The problems plaguing our military hospital system will not be solved with a photo-op." - Senator Barack 0bama

It should also be said that President Bush never criticized another politician regarding their treatment of servicemen and women. Even when they accused them of "terrorizing women and children in the dead of night" or being like "something you would expect from Stalin's Russia, Mao's China or Pol Pot."

(funny how some of those lefties do remember what Mao was about)

Thanks for finding this quote.

However .....
President Bush toured Walter Reed Army Medical Center after he had learned of the dilapidated conditions there and the poor quality of care that the patients were receiving ...

There were not general dilapidated conditions and the quality of care was not poor!
It is not helpful to repeat the enemedia sping doctors.

I just wonder, and maybe someone has the answer, how many of the families told President Bush “no” to the photo op? Let’s keep in context that only one family allowed the photo op with Obummer.

Should the worst happen to our family with one of our boys, we’ve already discussed and decided, if we should get the request, our answer will be NO! to Obummer. That would be the worst kind of insult to us.
