How do we know this is true? The Dems will do anything to get this seat.

Here is the quote. Hardly credible coming from a News Paper Editor who back Owens but it is in print. Now where are your sources?

"It is frightening that Mr. Hoffman is so beholden to right-wing ideologues who dismiss Northern New Yorkers as parochial"

Libs "frightened" of US Constitution.

This won't help the Dems "get this seat."

Scozzafava's endorsement is leprous.

That’s what I think...why we would believe this from a NY paper without verification is absurd.

This is not what a Republican spokesman for the RNC said yesterday.

Who are you gonna believe; your GOP masters or your own two lying eyes?

The GOP leadership has demonstrated it over and over; we need a new party!

she’s a liberal

Hoffman knew that when he pledged to support the nominee.

James T. Ellis, the state Republican Party's regional vice chairman for nine of the 11 counties in the 23rd District, organized the four meetings where the candidates made their case for the nomination. Mr. Ellis said Mr. Hoffman would "certainly" have known Ms. Scozzafava's positions on social and fiscal issues after the four meetings together.

"He heard as much as I heard," the vice chairman said.

There also were dozens of accounts in newspapers, on television and on the Internet detailing Ms. Scozzafava's opinion on issues on which the two rivals disagree, such as abortion rights and gay marriage.

This is such an ugly charge that I would want solid proof before I went with it. Knowing how filthy and vile the dem party is, they may well be trying to damage her permanently to get her state seat.

Where did ya get that? The Watertown Daily News didn't endorse Owens.

If this is true, then she was the wrong person for the Republican nomination in the first place. Who does she think she is - Snarlin Spectre?

Wow! Ya think?

Is this what made her the wrong person for the Republican nomination?

Never mind she was endorsed by ACORN and Daily KOS. Forget that she has intimate ties to the SEIU.

Her pro-abortion policies and support for card-check policies are totally irrelevent.

This is what finally made her the wrong person for the Republican nomination.

Now what need to be flushed are the "Republican" party leaders who decided to have Dede as their candidate.

Every! Single! One! Of! Them!

True so far.

He knew her positions when he made the pledge.

When you posted it as a News article, you are claiming it as News. This is not a news source, this is an editorial. Meanwhile other local papers claim she is backing Hoffman.

http://www.auburnpub.com/articles/2009/10/31/latest_news/10latestnews.txt

If you do not mean to claim it as fact, please don’t post it as news.

It probably is true but for now it is hearsay and rumor, not fact. Going off half cocked like this makes us look as inept as the Leftist media.

what the Scozzafava supporters on Freerepublic will have to say.,br> They are hiding!

Indeed, they are--or at least one of them is. One of Scozzafava's most vocal partisans on this board has been curiously silent over the past few days.

Refuting the charge should be easy. First, Scozzafava should come out and endorse Hoffman (only three days left to do that). Second, Scozzafava should deny that she is doing what the paper is saying she is doing.

They're all county chairs, so their county committees can probably remove them.

I'm amused at the reaction of GOP liberals and party hacks to this post. It seems to have hit a very tender spot.

Here in Iowa we have an old saying, "If you throw a rock at a herd of pigs, the one that squeals is the one you hit."
