Sure, Vegetarian and Gluten Free makes you think, mmmmmmmmnasty! But actually it's really good and for those in need of a Gluten Free diet it's terrific.
I recently went to a vegan party and ate vegan style “meat”. For some reason I felt so miserable for days that I felt like I could die, but it didn’t taste too bad going down.
I have trouble with the title. Pasta Sauce, also called red gravy, never has ingrediants containing gluten. However, what you put the red gravy on may contain gluten. If pasta (noodles for those who are not food saavy) is used, it normally is made with flour, which is gluten rich. However, gluten free pasta is available which can be made from rice or corn. This recipe uses cooked rice or beans. I'd rather use my rice for Mexican rice, and beans for chili con carne.
Chrissy Siggee's pasta sauce recipe is not so hot either. However, what do you expect from these Vegan minions trying to get their ticket punched?

That stuff is not healthy for you . Soy that has not be fermented is not healthy , it’s unlike all the other beans.
Ever notice how angry most vegans are ?
There is a reason for it . When you consume soy that has not been fermented it contains enzyme inhibitors that effect enzymes like trypsin which you body needs for protein digestion. Regular cooking doesn’t stop these enzyme inhibitors like fermenting so what results is gastric distress and reduced protein digestion. Eat enough of it and you can easily end up with cancer or enlarged pancreas , problems with blood clotting , reduced thyroid function , fertility problems etc. Tofu is fermented but if you eat enough of it you can end up seriously mineral difficiant Soy = healthy is load BS but boy is it marked right .
What a bitter commentary for a recipe. The author of the recipe is allergic and, therefore, has to eat a Gluten-free diet. She is not a “vegan” by choice.
You don't have to be a vegetarian to have a gluten-free diet.
Excuse me. I failed to read carefully step 9: "9. Pour sauce over pasta or rice and sprinkle with grated cheese if desired." So, this sauce containing red beans and soya beans does get put on noodles "or rice."
I am not enthusiastic about using a pasta sauce on rice. I would rather have something with a little more zip, like red beans on rice, cajun style.
There are some very tasty gluten-free spaghetti noodles available to put that sauce on. I do remain skeptical about using beans in a pasta sauce that does not also have oregano.
I am not crazy about Siggee's pasta sauce recipe. I am tempted to give out my pasta sauce recipe, that would delight the most ardent gluten-free dieters and Freepers.
