Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) on Sunday offered one of the strongest hints yet that he will run for the nation's highest office in 2012.
Gingrich said that he will begin seriously considering the possibility in about 15 months.
"Callista and I are going to think about this in February 2011. And we are going to reach out to all of our friends around the country," he said on C-SPAN's "Washington Journal" this morning. "We'll decide, if there's a requirement as citizens that we run, I suspect we probably will. And if there's not a requirement, if other people have filled the vacuum, I suspect we won't."
Many political observers have tabbed former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) as a presidential hopeful in past election cycles. Critics say that the leader of the 1994 Republican Revolution will not run because of his tumultuous personal life; he has been married three times and engaged in an extramarital affair during Bill Clinton's impeachment.

I’m so glad he already showed his hand as a RINO, otherwise the folks here at FR would have gotten wound around the axel in pushing for the newt.

No NEWT! His negatives are higher than Palin’s and Romney’s put together. We need to win in 2012.

Are there really any special interest groups that specialize in the no more RINOs political movement, besides the TEA PARTIES and sites like FR?

Newt is a policy wonk and likes to hear himself talk. His Twitter account is a means to push his books. Clearly, he is past his prime. Time for some new blood. Everytime I see him on Fox News my eyes glaze over and I change the channel.

Mr. Newt, I respect you for what you did in the 1994 election. It gave many of us great hope right up until the time you began backing away from most of the Contract with America planks and ended with the unconstitutional CDA rider attached to the equally odious telecom bill which ended up causing much pain and suffering.
Recently you have attacked Rush Limbaugh, who has enough enemies for any man in any number of lifetimes and certainly doesn't deserve any more. Sat on a couch with Nancy Pelosi and spouted nonsense about an emergency that doesn't exist and sponsered a candidate in New York who is more liberal than the Democrat she is running against.
I'll take the advice of the First Lady and Just Say No to you. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
