Winston Churchill is often misattributed to the quote "If you're not a liberal when you're 20, you have no heart. If you're not a conservative when you're 40, you have no head." I believe these words from Sir Churchill, a leading figure of Tom Brokaw’s Greatest Generation, quite ironically sum up the generation that was to succeed him in history (the baby-boomers), had he actually been the one to have said it of course.
The idealistic hippies of the 60’s fought for change to bring about a society so open-minded it could accept everything and everyone, but now the Teabaggers of the Present fight against change to provide only for themselves and their own vision of the world.
From the path of young Communists to aging Objectivists, this group has essentially become a mix of the worst parts of their parents’ generation and the generation they were in their youth. They kept the passion of the 60’s and combined it with the irrational fear of change from the 50’s.

The Tea Parties are about the only protest where the grounds are cleaner when the leave than when they arrive. If you have a broken window they might even reglaze it for you before they're gone.

The participants in the Tea Parties come from multiple generations. Had you actually been to one you'd know this.

No - hippies are the shiftless scum who wanted to screw and smoke everything and anything, and not be held at all accountable for any actions. They are avowed communists and provided nothing but anarchy to this country. At least the “Tea Party” protestors have the wits about them to understand freedom and overtaxation.

The TEA rallies are focused.
They are clean. The people are clean.
They are free of violence or vandalism (except for disruptors).
Nobody is there “for the experience”. Attendees are either elderly (hard to get around) or have to take a day off of work. They are there because they don’t like the direction that the Federal and state governments are taking.
The hippies are running the federal government! Like the old SDS people, etc. They are Obama advisors now.
