Sarah Palin could make a huge difference in the NY23 special election, and everybody knows it. I hinted at this earlier today -- "Lipstick, baby!" -- and as I like to remind my readers from time to time, there are no accidents.
Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman is in the fight of his life against the GOP establishment's hand-picked RINO, in a crucial election that Hoffman's media coordinator Rob Ryan says is "a referendum on the future of the Republican Party."
One point to make clear: No official in the Hoffman campaign has said a word to me about Sarah Palin. But some of Hoffman's supporters are heartbroken that Sarah -- whom I dubbed the "Sweetheart of the Heartland" last year -- hasn't joined the fight against Dede Scozzafava, whom Michelle Malkin has described as "ACORN-Friendly, Big Labor-Backing, Tax-and-Spend Radical in GOP Clothing." Allow me to address myself directly to Mrs. Palin:
Doug Hoffman is your kind of candidate, his supporters are your supporters, and the people at the RNC and the NRCC who are siding with Scozzafava . . . well, ask around, ma'am. Your enemies are Doug Hoffman's enemies.

She is far from done, bub. She is only beginning...
Mitt? Me? Are you kidding me? I think you are barking up the wrong tree. I despise Mitt.
OK. So why you hatin’ on Palin?
She’s the closest thing to Reagan around, short of Duncan Hunter.
How about we work on getting her elected.
Better yet, both of them.
Has anyone directly asked her or contacted her or they all assuming she knows she is needed? This is kind of like asking the girl to the middle school dance, all the guys waiting around for the girl to give a hint or make a move instead of just coming out and asking.
I tend to agree with VR here. Gov. Palin no doubt waiting for her book and other activities before she gets involved in any campaign. For all we know Gov. Palin could have sent money to Hoffman as a sign of support. Gov. Palin has to be very careful who she supports and why she support them. Look no further than Chambliss and how he would not back her on the HC debate.
I know all of that, but I think she should show her face a little more. Appear on Hannity maybe. I’m telling you, people forget fast. Don’t rule out they give up on her and never get back the fire in their belly.
I understand it’s a tough call. She can’t afford any missteps, but some good conservatives like Fred Thompson, Dick Armey and Stacy McCain have put it on the line for Hoffman. Mike Pence has bucked his House leadership on this race by refusing to endorse the RINO.
I am not hating on Palin. She is my candidate hands down if she runs. I just think she needs to show up once in a while to keep her momentum going. Maybe show up unexpected at one of the tea parties. Things like that.
I hope so, she is the only one that can beat obongo.
Some of the folks who want A, B, or C to jump into this small town congressional election to endorse a candidate
are the same who are looking for excitement is their dull world.
There is another motive for the ones who want to draw in
Palin, Huck, Mitt, or who ever and it is not just for endorsement
I am not kidding, I live up here and I cannot believe that they threw up Didi to take McHugh’s seat. Mchugh has always been known as a right to life representative. I hate to say it but the dim o crat looks like he is more conservative than the didi.
“I think Sarah is done.”
She has an unreleased book about her life and politics on the best seller lists after being a failed VP candidate and she’s done? Makes no sense.
I do not know for sure but I assume she knows. Stacy McCain has a pipeline to her and so do Fred and Jeri Thompson from what I can gather.
The key is whether Hoffman even wants her there. Who knows on that.
As an aside.
The Constitutional age requirement for the office of President, is 35 years.
As such, one would also want a VP candidate to likewise be eligible. Since Republicans actually care about matters such as Consitutional eligibility.
By amazing coincidence. In 2012 Duncan D. Hunter will be...
35.
Palin / Hunter would be a historically powerful ticket.
Maybe some of you here could:
1. STFU
2. Get off your ass
3. Do something
Then Sarah wouldn’t have to ride in and save the day all the time, not that she can anyway if we don’t get out there and work.
Do you think Hoffman would want her to campaign for him?
VR you will like this response I gave to another poster who stated about Gov. Palin. In short he said out of sight out of mind.
My response was as follows: Out of sight I will grant you except for her HK speech yes Gov. Palin has been out of sight. But out mind you are out of your mind two words Death Panels. Also, Gov. Palin sparked debate last week on the weakness of our dollar, has helped shape the HC debate, and just yesterday, an Op-Ed in NRO on energy independence, an Op-Ed in the WSJ and finally a Op-Ed on cap an tax in WaPo. Sure looks like Gov. Palin has been out of mind. I forgot something but I cant for the life of me put a finger on it. Oh I know what I forgot to mention it starts with a 1 and ends with best seller.
Palin has been busy with the book.
You will see Sarah on her book tour After 17 Nov.
You can keep up with her columns in Wall Street Journal, National Review Online and her face book.
it’s clearly a christmas present from the NRCC, conservatives need not be ashamed!
Has Hoffman asked?
