It’s not exactly a bloody horse head left in the bed overnight, but Fox News has sent a message it’s ready to play hardball with the White House Communications Director who says she’s going to treat Fox News “the way we treat an opponent” and not like an ordinary cable network. (See Toby Harnden’s post, “Barack Obama’s Silly Obsession with Fox News“.)
Anita Dunn went on one of the Sunday talk shows last weekend to fulminate about Fox, calling it “a wing of the Republican Party” and “not a news organization in the sense that CNN is a news organization.” By Thursday, researchers for Fox’s very popular Glenn Beck Show had unearthed video of Dunn giving an inspirational address last June to an audience of high school students in which she quotes from one of her “favorite political philosophers”, one of the “two people she turns to most”, who turns out to be Mao Tse-tung. Voice brimming with emotion, Dunn says:

It’s a pleasure when Marxists are exposed and are allowed to step in their own horse$&*% courtesy of the “right wing conspiracy.” The more exposure these pieces of human excrement are given, the more likely chance we can wake America up again (and the Republican Party), and the continued slide of their ilk and the MSM goes forth unabated. Like cockroaches in a kitchen, when the light goes on they scatter. They hide, but their not dead. That’s why eternal vigilance on the Right is an absolute must for survival of the Republic. Long live America, as the Founding Fathers intended.

I absolutely agree with this Mao statement, it is 100% correct ... just that the sides are a bit flipped in the case of White House vs Fox News
As always I appreciate how Glenn shines a light on these vermin, but he really blew an opportunity to point out that Mao and his communists were greatly assisted by communists in our State Department like John Service, and actual soviet agents like Asst. Secretary of The Treasury Harry Dexter White. Our foreign policy was manipulated by American communists to support the communist takeover of that country.
