Balloon dad says he has something to day according to reports

Also think of this: the kid says “You said it was for a show.”
The normal thing woulb be for the father to say, “what are you talking about, son? Did you misunderstand the man’s question?”
Instead the dad says, “Yeah.”
And the mom would have also asked, “What do you mean?” Instead she says “No” to the boy. Very telling.
This seems to be correcting the boy to stick to the story.
Then the dad asks a bizarre question, apparently reeling from the boy’s answer.
“You didn’t come out?” what????!!! Everyone KNOWS he didn’t come out. The question the interviewer asked was WHY he didn’t come out. The father there seems to be very much disoriented and scrambling for thoughts.
The problem with these publicity hounds is that they didn’t prepare for the boy to be asked that question. And it backfired in a huge way.
EXCELLENT observation!!!
This scam is crumbling on FR as fast as Dan Rather did!!!
I’m no lawyer, but making a false 9/11 call is very serious business.
Compound that with allowing the FAA to be called in because of that 9/11 call, this guy is in deep doo-doo.
Maybe his trial will be televised, as some consolation.
Thanks, but that should have been obvious to the army of media that ascended on this story.
Right...I couldn’t believe my ears - I watched it as it happened and thought I must have misunderstood because no one followed up on the “show” comment. The dad looked dumbstruck at first (wheels spinning a new lie appranetly) - then with 2 minutes left in the show Wolf Blitzer comes back to it and asks, “what did he mean we did it for the show.”... and the dad has a meltdown (”appalled” by the question) - his behavior was off from the start.
