I think it may happen sooner than that.
When interpreting a term, such as natural born citizen, we simply want the true meaning. It appears the true meaning of the Constitution insists two parents of US citizenship.
Will we honor their intent? Maybe, maybe not.

If a BC shows Frank Marshall Davis as his father (or the groom, as the state of Hawaii recently said), he is a natural born citizen, AND a complete lie.

If Bambi and his backers can drag this out long enough there will be another opening on the SCOTUS. At that time he will entrench another left wing judge, have a 5 to 4 majority, and just thumb his nose at any legal requirements for anything. That is the goal. That is reason. Here’s my take. The birthers know that Orly is headed for a crash. SO.....to keep this whole non-issue alive, they are going to resort to Plan B-—Obama isn’t a “natural born citizen”. Since this will probably not be going to the Supreme Court any time soon, they can not actually “lose” the argument. If it did go to the Supreme Court, and they lost on the issue, they would then blame the Supreme Court and Sonia Sottawhatever.
This way, they can play in la la land, even when Orly has been sent packing.

Actually, you are incorrect. There have been responsible people talking about Natural Born Status based on Obama’s parentage for a long time now. Donofrio is one of them. He actually got so frustrated with the whole Birther thing, regarding the Hawaiian birth certificate he dropped out. He is the guy who was stating from the beginning that he didn’t have the parentage to qualify for NBC. So he has taken the opportunity that Hawaii has granted with its UIPA laws and the openings presented to do two things. 1) Prove Obama was born in Hawaii. Which I happen to believe as well. and that 2) his Dad is British. It is #2 that matters.
You have to have parents with American Citizenship and be born in the United States or its territories in order to be a Natural Born Citizen. That means TWO parents. The word is in its plural form because it is referring to MORE THAN ONE!
Obama does not have that.

Section 1 of Article Two of the United States Constitution sets forth the eligibility requirements for serving as President of the United States:
“ No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States. ”
The grandfather provision of the “natural born Citizen” clause provides an exception to the “natural born” requirement for those persons who were citizens at the time of the adoption of the Constitution, but had been born as British subjects before the American Revolution (or were born after the Revolution, but before 1787). Without this exception, ten subsequent presidents would have been constitutionally ineligible to serve.[1]
Additionally, the Twelfth Amendment states that: “[N]o person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.” The Fourteenth Amendment, adopted in 1868, defines a “Citizen” of the United States, but not necessarily a “natural born Citizen.” Its Citizenship Clause provides that “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are Citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”

In practical terms, I believe Drew 68 is correct. Obama’s father's British citizenship was a matter of public record before the election. No court is going to disqualify a duly elected President based on a novel interpretation of the term NBC.
