I’m repeatedly accused of being an Obama worshipper, and in my defense I consistently point out that I voted for Bob Barr. You know, the guy who stood for all the conservative, small government principles that McCain didn’t.
So someone responds to that by suggesting that I’m lying. To which I respond by posting a picture of me with Bob Barr. (And for the record, it was at a local Libertarian Party meetup at Manuel’s Tavern in Atlanta in June 2008.) It was my Facebook profile photo through the election. I doubt anyone else here has a photo with the Presidential candidate they voted for.
And yet even that was met with skepticism on several fronts. It was suggested that the photo is meaningless. It was suggested that it didn’t mean I voted for him. It was suggested that it wasn’t actually ME in the photo with Barr.
So how about this: when I get home tonight, I’m willing to print out a page of posts from this thread, and take a photo of myself with that AND the Bob Barr campaign sign I displayed in the front window of my house last year, to further prove that it’s me and that I was an adamant Barr supporter in last year’s election.
Will *that* convince you folks? Because I’m not going to go to the trouble if the response is still ‘Oh, that doesn’t prove anything.’
Explain how that mitigates your words on this thread.

But I will say this. Your photo, which you offered as proof of your manhood, was a stupid mistake.
I mean really, you are presumably a grown man, though your picture gives the impression of a High Schooler(yes, that is an insult and it going to worse but for including your screed of accusation which I was not a part of. But, hey, you chose to take on the #1 child of six, who lived with his competitors for 18 years. Hope you have a blanket and a pacifirer, because if your gonna get into this kind of trade, you baby, you are going to need it)
Now I don’t know you and you don’t know me. You start a relationship on the presumption that I am not a bad guy and you are not a good. We are just guys.
You forfeit a presumption of majority age, intellectuall and sentient ability to reason, when you come to a board of anonymity and have to prove you are man and a Bob Barr supporter.
Who cares? I mean really, is that your emotional reason for being who you are? “I voted for the other guy?”
You actually sound ineffectual and weak minded. Though I don’t believe you are. But, to offer your bonafide as “I voted for....” or “I did....”, you have some serious confidence issues, serious.
Your picture indicates you are at least out of high school. Get over yourself, you are a man. We are not your mom and you come here crying for a blanket of approval with warm milk and cookies.
You are what you are. Not what you did or intend to do. You are a man of a certain ideology and that will change a little as you move through life.
Your argument is weakened with your “look at me, look at me” crap.

You look young so maybe you don’t see this yet but, too many of us have seen so called educated people with their pedigrees and their plaintive cries for attention are always qualified by “I am ...., whatever”.
So you should listen to me. You then think you are going to co-opt others time and intellect with your “I am superior! You must know that, right?” baloney.
Look, there are many intelligent people who don’t have pedigrees and yours only gets you to the front of the line for an interview. It indicates nothing about your ability to continue learning and doing the two things that matter most as adults:
Produce results and solve problems.
But here you are talking to truck drivers, nurses, business owners, etc and we are “unwashed and uninformed”?
You have really got to read some books on self confidence and learn some manners about parity.
What is important is your idea and the strength of your argument.
You join the vetter and birther posts only to cast aspersion upon peoples intellect. What, pray tell, do you think our response is going to be?
Oh! Look it is Loren, he is better than us and we are not smart enough and least we forget, he will be happy to inform as much.
Make yourself useful and argue your points. I don’t care about your pedigree and have beat guys like you all the time, who think their pedigree made them smarter or better.
And yet here I am still giving classes to smart guys like about what is important, how to write proposals and simple letter writing.
Lastly, you need a serious humor implant. At least the other posters who presume to be so smart have a sense of humor.
You are not even fun. Just another lame egalitarian, self possessed child who finds himself in jeopardy of being just a down right selfish asshole who is 6th grade silly.
Take a joke, for Cris’ sake and send one back in good humor. It can be a very effective of not only breaking the ice, it is a powerful and subtle method of disarming the other person.
Sit down and think about your posts and your piss poor attitude.
