Rush Limbaugh's bid to buy the St. Louis Rams ran into opposition within the NFL on Tuesday. Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay vowed to vote against him and commissioner Roger Goodell said the conservative commentator's "divisive" comments would not be tolerated from any NFL insider.

First of all, Limbaugh is popular and his controversy lies with poltics, not racism. He's done nothing to cause his minority ownership stake to be problematic. Nothing at all...

These recent attacks on him with quotes that are not his and opinions on these quotes made by idiots carry absolutely no weight at all.

Rush is big sports fan and he has some money. The left is using blacks as they always have as game pieces in a larger game called politics. It is unfortunate and sad that blacks choose to be used like this.

It makes me ill.

goodell is nothing more than a little snot nosed kid.

I am like Rush, an NFL junkie, but the NFL is heading for big trouple in next two years eliminating salary cap and doing a total revamp of free agency. to bad they don’t see the glaring weaknes .. paying 50 million to a kid out of college that can’t perform at the NFL level.

How many heisman winners have succeded?

its a vivious rut .. the loser teams get the first picks in the draft. Sounds great. Downside, they expend lots and lots of capital on an unproven players that are a bust, year afer year. Resouces that could have been spent on proven free agency. Bungles are a prime example. Bottom feeders that stay at the bottom.

Bungle’s you ask?

Yeah I know this years record .. but 4 games in one season out of 19 is not great track record .. and there are still 11 games to go. Bottom feeders tend to stay on the bottom ther than an anomaly or two.

I gave up on the NFL years ago...Super bowl 7 or there about.

I was flippin through the ESPN channels looking for some race results this weekend and I did not even recognize some of the teams!

Just overpaid crappola as far as I am concerned. If Rush likes it, that's his business, but I watch college ball only.

I, along with millions of other Americans, will not sit by and let the MSM and Obama hacks dictate what is and isn’t truth.

They’re trying not to eliminate the salary cap, but that revolves around getting a CBA ratified, the last one never got the actual final approval. And one of the things they’re trying to get is rookie salaries pre-set by draft position like the NBA (probably the only thing the NBA does right). We’ll see how it goes.

Remember loser teams can trade down. That’s what the ones that turn it around tend to do, you take a high draft pick and turn it into 3 or 4 not so high picks.

Uh-huh, afraid so.

All that's needed now is a shot heard around the world..

How lame to be a fan of a bunch of overpaid thugs running around mouthing off.

Limbaugh has a right to be a fan of whatever he chooses.

Is the NFL going to censor the political views of all its owners?

That's the real question, isn't it? We live in very dangerous times - where did our country go?

Rush should put his money elsewhere.

NFL franchises can be dogs as investments.

Plus, I love to listen to Rush when he is talking politics or philosophy, but when he starts talking about the NFL it gets really boring.

If he gets a franchise then half of his show's minutes will be spent talking about some crap related to his team.

Very boring.

With this guys (obama) anger and resentment showing through at every turn, and the countries mood souring day by day, it won't be long.

Having been around this place over the years, seen you weather the blows and walk away intact? I believe you. You're hell on feet, kid. LOL {a sad laugh, nonetheless...}

And FWIW, *now* I'm really torqued and I've never been unique insofar as what it takes for something like this to really get under my skin. Count me as among the millions you cited. I no longer care about justice, I want revenge. Their rules. Right outa their god Saul Alynsky's book.

This is so dirty, so filthy, so low down & outrageous --EVEN FOR THE SHAMELESS COMMUNISTS-- they've foolishly awakened many sleeping giants.

Now let the proverbial chips fall where they may.

That is how I am feeling about it too. Sunday afternoon is bettter at the course, beach, or fishin. They have Olbermann on Sunday night and now the players hate Rush for no reason. SCREW them and their overpriced salaries. I am over it. Sell the tix to Obamacorns.

October is breast cancer month and that means pink. I hate all these months, and the ribbons, but there it is. Nobody really dares stand up against it in public, anybody that doesn’t want to help fight breast cancer is bad.

I want to know when players like Lynn Swann, who Rush had on his show when Swanny was running for office, will come out and defend him. Walt Williams? Condi Rice? JC Watts? Karl Malone?

I heard some defense today but I think this is not over.Rush is defending himself, and I think it needs to be done. We all know what this is about. We’ve been seeing this crap since they attacked Clinton during the primaries. It’s got to stop.
