Cary Fiorina, former Hewlett-Packard CEO and probable candidate for U.S. Senate from California, is starting to look like a viable choice for conservative voters in the Golden State, giving the GOP two conservatives from whom to chose.
Fiorina's bona fides have been a question to many California Republicans because she is a relative newcomer to politics and many are not familiar with her political philosophy or what her campaign will stand for. But her recent hard hitting editorial in the Fresno Bee helps bring her ideals better into focus for the voters.
Firoina's editorial in the Bee focuses on the water controversy of the San Joaquin Valley. As many know, a federal bureaucracy has summarily shut off water to thousands of acres of farmland merely in order to save a fish; the delta smelt. This enviro-activism has shut down thousands of acres of farmland and put thousands of residents out of work. Down the line it will also negatively affect the nation's food supply because the San Joaquin Valley supplies much of our vegetables and fruits...

who was the ghost writer of the piece?
vote for that person.
i seriesly doubt it carley.
The thought of her inflicting on a state what she did for hp.....
Beware of opportunism when it comes to candidates in California. A noble cause, a late arrival to the issues at hand.
We have been bit before.. and will be paying for it for years.
Fiorina is the worst possible candidate the GOP could find. Who is going to vote for someone who ran companies into the ground, laid off thousands of hard workers, and turned everything she touches into excrement, especially in this economy?
However, compared to the leftist democrat she is facing, she looks like fricking Ronald Reagan. Got my vote.
Dump Carly!
In the Primary!
A good reminder indeed.
Yo, WTH! Shouldn't that be from which to choose? (I admit, I'm not sure so I'm asking..)
Since the choice is between two people, whom is appropriate.
According to a recent Rasmussen Reports, DeVore only trails Boxer by 9% while Fiorina trails by 10%. The more people get to know the two Republican candidates (and technically Carly's not even officially announced yet), the more DeVore comes across as the real deal.
TXS
Of this, you can be certain about Fiorina: She’ll be every bit as “conservative” as former NJ governor Christine Todd Whitman was.
Doesn’t really matter. I know you have to try, but this is CA, kind of a lost cause lately. No matter who goes up against DumbAsABoxOfRocks, they are going to get stomped. It always seems to work out that way in the end.
Add one more accomplishment to her CV: She is one of the VERY few CEO’s forced out of her position by the board of her company. Most boards are compliant lapdogs with kneepads. HP’s board finally had enough of her twaddle and gave her an option to stay on, but not as CEO, and she up and quit.
If you love what “free trade” has done for the US economy, by all means vote for Fiorina. If you liked seeing one of the best engineering and technical companies in the US destroyed by a liberal arts major as CEO, by all means vote for Fiorina.
But when you do, remember this: The stock of HP jumped like a homesick angel on the day she announced her resignation.
That’s what people with skin in the game thought of Fiorina.
Yes, she has a lot of words. Maybe she’ll get the Nobel Peace Prize as Obama did only on February 1st 2013. Obama had ten days to do it. Surely Carly can do it in less.
Fixed it. Go Chuck DeVore !
