According to Nobelprize.org, Obama received the prize "for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples" Honestly, gentle reader, other than his amazing reading of a telemprompter can you name even one "extraordinary effort?" Can you name even one result that actually strengthened "international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples?"

Dear Alfred: Cite one example where diplomacy has done anything other than delay a war. Unfortunatly, In the entire history of the world, only war and the threat of war has resulted in freeing a people from tyrrany and oppression. War has never resulted in a people becoming captive, UNLESS if it is per-empted in the name of “peace”

He has a bit of an inflated head when it comes to his own invention. Not even nukes, for pete’s sake, stopped war. Though they did prevent general war, in my opinion, between the U.S. and the Soviet Union.
There was an expensive war, it was just without much violent confrontation and destruction, a cold war, the best kind. Like WWII, a lot of new technology came out of it, such as the internet. We could use a new cold war, such as with with China, to force us to invest in needed robotics technology and ocean grown algae fuels.
