That's the word from this Politico piece.
We will be a headache for anyone who believes the Constitution of the United States isnt to be protected, said Dick Armey, chairman of the anti-tax and limited government advocacy group FreedomWorks, which helped plan and promote the tea parties, town hall protests and the September Taxpayer March in Washington. If you cant take it seriously, we will look for places of other employment for you.
Were not a partisan organization, and I think many Republicans are disappointed we are not, added Armey, a former GOP congressman.

We would have had to be for republicans for us to turn against republicans.
Tea parties never were about republicans. The only way a tea part can “turn” on republicans is if the republicans are trying to take over the tea party.
So is this article a big fat lie or is the republican party trying to elbow in on the tea parties?
Should the title be that Conservatives are going to tea parties and turning on stinking RINOs like McCain, Graham-nesty, Charlie Crist and other RINO vermin?
Anyone who wasn't for Republicans in the last presidential election is an idiot.
Yes, considering how John Cornyn was booed when he spoke at a tea party.
Its about time that the demoRats & pubbies understand that none of them are staying around if they don’t abide the Constitution. Its time for all of them to stop their greedy antics & start looking out for the people that put them in office.
Aside from a handful of pubbies, I would vote all the rest out - both pubbies & dems!
Hot damn. Big government Republicans are just as bad as democrats. They key is SMALL GOVERNMENT.
**Anyone who wasn’t for Republicans in the last presidential election is an idiot.**
Voting for PALIN was the ONLY reason I went to the Polls, that Scumsucking RINO, McLAME caused my blood pressure to rise so high, I had a 45 minute Nosebleed.
Thanks to McLAME, I am NO LONGER a Republican. If Republican party follows form... their candidate in ‘12 will be MORE of a LEFTIST RINO than McLAME was. In which case,I will be going FISHING instead of to the Polls.
What's the difference between a moderate Republican and a liberal?
Labels are an annoyance, conviction is a way of life.
Soon-To-Be Ex-Senators McAmnesty and Grahamnesty appropriately standing in front of a fudge factory.
Are you Mike Volpe?
Or do you just post every column he writes?
Lindsay Graham should be top on the “redeployment” list.
What a jerk.
**Should the title be that Conservatives are going to tea parties and turning on stinking RINOs like McCain, Graham-nesty, Charlie Crist and other RINO vermin?((
EXACTLY!!!
You realize that means any GOPer who is for federal tort reform has to go? I don't think there's been a vote on medical tort reform, but there was a restaurant tort reform vote in 04. The only GOPer to vote NO was Ron Paul.
It's unconstitutional because the federal law prohibits particular civil suits in both federal and state courts. It's tempting to use the fedgov to battle frivolous lawsuits, but the Constitution does not give the feds the authority over state civil courts. So, everyone except Ron Paul has to go, and we can probably find a case where he has to go too.
I suppose if someone is a party loyalist that is true.
This is a conservative board. Conservatives were far from unified that supporting republicans in the last election was beneficial to us.
One Party takes you to Hell wthout delay. Another allows you a few rest stops along the way. I’d say many of us have been looking for a third way to bypass both.
I voted for that idiot McCain. If he runs again I won’t vote for him again.
I’m not staying on anybody’s plantation.
Not once did they ask about or refer to shrinking the federal government and cutting spending. Seemingly they don't understand the most basic beliefs of the Republican voting base.
The elections in 2010 and 2012 after Obama’s radicalism are the electoral opportunity of a lifetime for Republicans. If Republicans continue with their Democrat-lite routine they will force a deep split in the Republican Party, from which, it very likely will never recover as Democrats reach the tipping point of having a solid majority of Americans dependent on the Democrat's federal government.
The Republican’s have been trying to take them over. That’s how Cornyn ended up on youtube being booed. I hope it doesn’t happen but the bigger a movement becomes the more susceptible it is to corruption. Working to our favor, there is no accepted centralized national figure. It’s localized at this point, easier to confront a local figure if they go South.
Give me a break....have you learned nothing from Arlen Specter?
It’s Rubio or nothing.
