States of Rebellion

exas Governor Rick Perry was recently pilloried for bringing up the concept of secession (“succession” according to leftist political commentator Whoopi Goldberg). He did not, and was not, advocating it but the word obviously struck a nerve in the White House and its MSM trumpets. Everything the left does depends on financing from low tax states such as Texas, Nevada, and Florida. Low state taxes maximize income tax receipts, which help pay for the welfare state and vote buying so important to “liberals.” No person with an IQ above room temperature can read our Constitution and believe those states that joined the fledgling United States had rescinded their right to leave. The Tenth Amendment’s clarity puts to rest any doubt. It serves no purpose to rehash Dishonest Abe’s war against his peaceful neighbors and political opponents so I won’t. In any event, the Feds have managed to entangle states so well that it would be very difficult even to build a majority for secession. Too many of every state’s citizens have a vested interest, against seceding from the Federal Government. The inability to actually leave the United States legally, however, only partly truncates the drive for liberty of every Libertarian and most Conservatives. For instance, Andrew Jackson didn’t want a Bank of the United States and the issue ended up at John Marshall’s Supreme Court. Marshall et al. found for Jackson’s adversary which enraged President Jackson. He responded contemptuously, “Justice Marshall has made his ruling now let him enforce it.” Since Marshall had no enforcement mechanism, Jackson’s refusal to accept the ruling and not recertify the bank stood. Justice Roger Taney made several rulings that Dishonest Abe found troublesome, so he simply ignored them and pressed on with his war. Presidents Jackson and Dishonest Abe have shown us the way

Why can’t any of these leftist cowards remember that it was liberals who started pushing 10th amendment legislation when Bush was president. Hell, Michigan, California, and New York were among the first states where they arose.

All it takes is one state, and the collapse may begin.

That is why the left and MSM freaked out when Gov Perry acknowledged (and that is ALL he did) that he 10th Amendment to the Constitution is there.

Yes! I’m encouraged by the 10th Amendment movements popping up in various states. I’m equally encouraged that people are actively talking about secession. It’s well past time to push the federal government back within the Constitutional constraints established by the founders. It won’t be easy. It won’t be painless. But, it is necessary if we are to save the nation.

It’s time to take back the country.

We need principled leadership which is in short supply. Somewhere in the very heartening (but very late) citizen uprising there is a star. He or she will latch on to this issue and let it rip.

Interestingly, NY threatened secession over the Fugitive Slave Law before Lincoln’s War of Northern Aggression. In any event, the “libs” have NO principles except to do whatever it takes to stay in power. Until now, a feckless public has acceded to their lies, vote buying, phony patriotism, etc. Now they have aroused the nation particularly the geezers. They have been called out and can only hope to foment a war as did FDR in similar circumstances to rescue them. (FDR’s comment after 12/7/41: “Now it is Dr. Win the War, not Dr. End the Depression...”

If any it will be Texas or, for entirely different reasons Maine, which could join Canada and take the Ditz Sisters with it.
