“Atlas” Has an Itch
Axis of Right ^ | 10/6/2009 | Ryan

Wealthy people are leaving the tax-hell of New York, while 45% of doctors would consider quitting if Obama Care were enacted. Scary prospects for New York’s looter class and the nation as a whole, respectfully, when those who produce, create, innovate and do the hard work at the top are abused to the point of giving up or leaving.

The class-warfare stresses are there:

“They’re rich and greedy; they deserve to be taxed more than the rest of us.“

“Those selfish, greedy doctors – willing to leave the poor, sick people of America because of their own greed.”

A is pronounced as an I.

That from the Atlas Society.

Walk into your hospital main entry next time you’re in the neighborhood. Look at the photomural of the staff physicians. How many of them are from India, Pakistan, or other middle or far eastern nations. If ObamaCare pisses off enough of these people, or the taxes inevitably coming to support ObamaCare dips too deeply into their incomes, will we see the “brain drain” reversed? It would not take more than a few thousand doctors deciding to return to their native lands to precipitate a health care crisis in America. Long lines and waits at the doctor’s office are on the way.

I love your cartoonish Thomas Nast image of “the rich.” You should know, however, that celebutards and trustafarians are but a small percentage of the affluent in this country. The largest group of affluent in this country is comprised of business owners and retired business owners. The next tier below that is comprised of senior management and retired senior management.

I probably do stereotype the rich too much. Its probably a reaction to the Atlas Shrugged cartoon version of them. Mention taxing the rich and people start going apesh*t like “OMG who will give us jobs? We’ll all starve when the rich leave.” That kind of stuff just infuriates me. Completely un-American IMHO. Did the pioneers wait before heading west so that some rich people could get there first to take care of them? If you have ever worked at a big company, the guys at the top are often the least necessary to successful operation of the business.

parsy, who thinks worshipping the rich is a bad thing

Thank you. Now I can visualize a spelling that will help me pronounce it correctly.
