The death of the public option has been greatly exaggerated. While the President and is staff have been purposely wishy-washy about the government controlled insurance company option, the president has been hard at work, pulling out all the stops to put America well on the road to a single-payer system.
The apparent "back-peddle" (The public option isn't what the bill is all about)was declared as the death of the public option by many pundits. And when the Senate Finance Committee recently rejected two different versions of the government-run option, many said that nailed the door shut.
Fact is it was just a magicians sleight of hand to take the heat off the White House while the President and the Democratic Party lobbies while ignoring the will of the people, doing their best to force a government option down our collective throats.

Aside from the grammatical use of case and articles, e.g., the, a or an, the only word we can believe from this man’s mouth is ‘I.’
Any head-cracking from David or Rahm yet?
My Representative is rock solid, my Senators are zombies, so this is all I know to do:
Dem congresspeople surely know that voting for anything BO will accept will cause fifty-six percent — or much more — of the public to vote against them in 2010, and most of them are bright enough to know that 56% is more than half. Getting the entire remaining 44% won’t keep them in office.
They may not realize that a significant fraction of the people who’ll vote them out of office may be angry enough to do worse. I don’t want that. Dems, please think.
They are convinced you will forget they did this! Thry are sooooooooooo out of touch. Fraud in the big cities has
given them their seats, and they assume they can count on this voter fraud again. I still want to find out if this healthcare foisted on people with good plans is constitutional? Any lawsuits going forth???
No lawsuits that I know of, but there is a real question about Congress trying to impose fines on those who refuse to buy health care. We can be “fined” for refusing to pay taxes, but never until now for refusing to buy something. We don’t even have to buy auto insurance as long as we don’t exercise the privilege of driving without buying it.
He lobbied hard to hold the Olympics in Chicago, too. Just don’t assume he’ll lose this one, too. There’s too much at stake.
the bomb is a failure...the people he has around him are failures and worse.
