OK ... have some fun. Let’s war game this.
What major seaport is FARTHEST from a major US Army post or Marine base? i.e., what major city would have the slowest meaningful tactical response by the US Military if several ‘container’ and RORO vessels showed up and unloaded, seized a beachhead in said major city — took prominent hostages (CNN would gladly cover it) — and said comply or these thousands will die. All they’d have to do is start shutting down civilian services — water, transport, electricity, communications and people would start dying in three days or less. CNN would broadcast the total civil chaos that would ensue.
We’d HAVE to give in, especially if the ‘right type’ of populations were at risk.
Add a few tactical EMP rockets over nearby cities to add a buffer of confusion, and they’ve ‘won’ round one.
Your move. Those are my first moves.
The movie will last ten minutes. The first five will document the kids trying to get pistol permits. The second five will be spent looking for ammo. Then they just give up. The end.
what was that AWFUL movie about the autonomous aircraft that flew off carriers and went rogue?
GEESH that was the WORST attempt at a good movie EVER.
We don not need a remake of “Red Dawn”, because WE ARE LIVING IT!
I see they did not put the hammer and sickle on the red star. What is that in its place?
Nope. Not that one. It was a lot worse than that one.
Some kind of Mandarin text perhaps?
Let me guess, that will be the emblem for the 5th columnists and collaborators?
"Right Wing Extremists, returning from tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan, parachute into the all-American city of Los Angeles, forcing the innocent inhabitants to own guns and work for a living..."
Redstate Dawn
I think something like:
"On the 3rd Sunday of Oct 2012, our Dear Leader was looking at poll numbers that announced he would be replaced by Sarah Palin/Joe Wilson in a route. He ordered his secretary to connect him with the UN Security Council.
Lighting a cigarette, he was put through and said 'This is the President of the United States. Commence Operation CleanUp immediately.' Having dealt away all nuclear deterrence, and purged the Armed Forces of experienced officers, a full scale invasion by elements of Russia, China, Brazil and Mexico would begin. And his seat assured for Life."
Yeah, kind of like the way Flight of the Intruder fell flat at the box office... not because of Danny Glover, but because there was a real war on all the cable news channels in '91.
I wonder how Hollwuss is going to spin this remake....
-Probably make it like Brokeback Mtn. The Wolverines..well..ya’know...it gets cold up in those mountains.
Wow, that is one testerone-laden CV!!!!
I am not concerned, YET, about another country taking us over, I am concerned about the communist government we have in power at this point in time in taking us over, then later after we have been weakened we would have to worry about other countries. If Bozo has his way with our military, Hatti could come in an conquer us.
Don’t forget Milius’ contribution to “Jaws”.
He dictated the entire Quint/USS Indianapolis story over the telephone. Probably the best dialogue in the entire movie.
I cut the reference to Jaws to shorten the list.
But yes, he does create very identifiable dialog.
>>> Even the beat up pickup truck needs not one but two stunt doubles! <<<<
The director of RD 2010 Dan Bradley is a prolific stunt coordinator in Hollywood.

They’re shooting in my area, downtown Pontiac. I was at the Blue Note Cafe while they were filming and at one point a member of the production team came in to make sure that no one went outside during the shooting of a specific scene.
