You really have to pity Elizabeth Edwards. Terminally ill and married to a two-timing bum, it seems she's been reduced to anonymously trashing Rielle Hunter in comments left under a pseudonym on blogs.
For months now, Elizabeth, who is said to be talking to a divorce lawyer, also has been sniping at Hunter - painting her as a blackmailing gold digger - in blog comments where she uses the pseudonym "Cherubim," according to a source who knows Elizabeth.
Though "Cherubim" has recently described herself as an African-American woman, the source insists, "It's Elizabeth. She's used 'cherubim' as a password. Look at the gravestone of their son Wade: It's an angel holding a boy."
"Cherubim" has also heaped scorn on estranged Edwards aide Andrew Young, who is working on a book in which he's due to reveal that Edwards and wealthy supporters paid him to claim that he fathered Quinn...
Here's 'Cherubim' at the Hollywood Gossip.
Cherubim Says:

I think the National Enquirer is desperate, and is using John Edwards stories to make money. The National Enquirer is disgusting. Read about the financial state of the National Enquirer here:

How long has Mrs. Edwards been terminally ill?
The woman is dying, she is foolish but not worth mocking here. IMHO
Longer than the Lockerbie bomber who was shipped to Libya.
“How long has Mrs. Edwards been terminally ill?”
A long time. I guess she went to one of those clinics where the Dr didn’t find a expiration date.
Exactly what I was thinking. I thought she was stage 4, and that was years ago. Maybe she’s on some agressive treatment that has managed to hold the cancer at bay, but I have friends who only survived months after the stage 4 diagnosis. Found this article...she was stage 4 in 2007.

“The woman is dying, she is foolish but not worth mocking here.”
I think it’s an act of respect to mock her. After all, are we supposed to talk about her as if she’s gone?
Liz dished out snarky comments when she was riding the pony. Turn around is fair play.
Ugh. She is nothing more than an attention whore.
“The woman is dying, she is foolish but not worth mocking here. IMHO”
I don’t see any mocking here. Elizabeth Edwards has made herself a public figure, pops up on TV regularly (was recently on Larry King about health care for example) and even wrote a book about her husband’s affair. Commentary about her and what she does is fair game, illness or impending death notwithstanding. If she wants to be left alone she can take herself out of the public eye.
Aren't we all dying? Inevitably, life will come to an end for each of us, no matter what we do. I do not believe that the shielding someone gets from criticism should be related to the speed at which that person is meeting the end.
It is so pathetic that she still promotes the John Edwards mythology - the “two Americas” guy who works tirelessly for the poor and downtrodden. She’s got Stockholm syndrome or something and simply cannot see him for the phony a-hole that he is. Just sad.
I don't excuse Elizabeth's blatant idiocy, but I can see the added insanity from which it originates.
People make snarky anonymous comments all over the web. People do it here, they do it on every message board and blog everywhere. Who cares what someone said about Rielle Hunter??? Personally, you’re going to boink a married man and neither of you are smart enough to even use birth control, I think you should learn to deal with it. What earthly difference does it make whether it was his wife or someone else posting it?
She is still drawing breath in this world. She has nice children, a beautiful home, money and a husband, such as he is.
She would do well to drag herself away from the spotlight and the roar of the crowd, immerse herself in the innumberable good works performed by bored liberal southern matrons and get her unhappy self out of our daily lives.
She's become a caricature of herself by her own obsession for attention and sympathy.

For someone who is terminal, she sure has been getting around better than most of us for quite a few years. Sorry, Liz, I didn’t buy it then and I don’t buy it now. There are truly some very ill women with cancer and you playing the sympathy card isn’t going over very well.
This is NOT THE Andrew Young we are talking about.
Is there a LESS noteworthy story than this? How about: “Edwards parts hair on other side to protest global warming deniers!”
Don’t know why people equate having an illness with being wise or kind. I don’t fault the Edwards for keeping their personal life private. The catch here though is they both made his devotion to Elizabeth a centerpiece of his political appeal when they knew it wasn’t true.
Also, John Edwards is a rich vacuous phoney left wing creep of the worst kind. He would have been every bit as deceptive and dangerous as Obama.
She shilled for her rotten husband long after she knew he was rotten. It’s bad that she has cancer. It’s bad when anybody has cancer. But that is irrelevant to the rest of it.
