I know who Brietbart is. But who is Katie Couric?

When the Swiftboat CERTIFIGATE story first surfaced in early August 2004 2008, John Kerry BARACK OBAMA ignored it on the advice of his staff. For that he blames his IMPENDING loss. Why did his advisors take this tack? Most likely because they had confidence the story would be "ignored" by the old media. And it was. That is until talk radio and Fox news made it an issue. The rest is WILL BE history.

The best example of this came from ABC's anchor, Charlie Gibson. "I don't even know about it. So you've got me at a loss," he told WLS radio when asked about it. "But my goodness, if it's got everything, including sleaziness in it, we should talk about it in the morning." But he also said that what was seen on these videos was best left for the "cables."

The big networks were so obviously ignoring a big story since it had what they absolutely love! Pimps, prostitutes, illegal aliens, ACORN. If Bush had been president at the time they'd have been all over it.

Breitbart did a brilliant job of handling the release of those ACORN videos for maximum entertainment. Drip...drip...drip....It was highly gratifying to see the MSM try to play catch up and say they weren't playing catch up at the exact same time. He outed them for the manipulative hypocrites that they all are. The Wash Post waited to cover it until after Congress voted to stop their funding and the Census Bureau cancelled their collaboration. (It ran a couple of short, lame wire stories on the inside, in the meantime.)

One of my favorites moments: when the Wash Post finally reported the Van Jones story, he had already issued two apologies -- and they had to report that, too.

The reason Kerry tried to ignore the Swiftboat story is that he knew they were telling the truth...so he hoped the media would continue to keep it out of the news.

Shortly after the ‘04 election, Kerry was on Meet the Press and promised Tim Russert he would release his 180. Guess I missed when that happened.

Believe it or not, the media has a very important role to play in our system of checks and balances. If the media never criticizes, then who ever is in power will certainly feel enboldened to take more and more power and corruption will absolutely follows. Emperor Obama gets not checks and balances from the old media and feels like he can get away with anything, like Czars who are the most radical people ever to populate American government. Its like they continue to give Obama rope and he will surely hang himself with the media’s unwitting assistance. And they are too damned stupid to understand that point.

The new bias of the established media is not the phony story or the coordinated regurgitation of DNC talking points. It is the blackout of major stories that reflect badly on Democrats.

It's certainly not new! The suppression or downplaying of the opposition's point of view has always been the standard media method of tilting public perceptions. We're seeing it in today's "educational" establishment too. History? What history? Civics? Only Che Guevara's, of course.
