So fellow freepers, I just got off the phone with my father, who feels that Palin is unelectable, btw he is and has always been a staunch republican. Now, I do not feel this way; however, I want to get some feedback on this matter. This patriot, Palin, shows up and thousands support her with their time, hearts and money. So why would she be unelectable? Because the left wants us to believe it? Was there this much vitriol towards Reagan and if so, should that be our guiding light?
she’s principled, honest, non-corruptable. What I like about her from the start. She fired governor’s chef telling her children not to get used to having a chef around. She sold governor’s personal jet. Killed Bridge to Nowhere. Any Government spending over $1k will be posted online. Balanced the budget. She set aside money during the good times, for raining days, which turned out well.
If she’s leading, I believe her when she says she will cut out all government waste
I think Sarah Palin would make a great President, for a lot of the reasons other people find liabilities.
She is a honest to goodness citizen-politician, emphasis on the honest part.
I’d give her my vote if she runs. If I worked for ACORN, I’d vote for her ten times.
She was the whistle-blower against corruption in her own party in Alaska. The media up there loved her til she was picked Vice President and saw Mccain’s poll number skyrocketted over Obama. Its when then, the campaign to tear her down started
How many who think Palin is not electable thought McCain was? Dole?
This is a time to do what you think is right whether it’s popular or not.
I like her.
Her family will sink her.
Just sayin’
With all due respect for your father, many long-time republicans are so used to the compromise practiced by many long-term republicans. That has been a losing ticket.
Palin is electable because she hasn’t compromised. She has taken the fight to those who are not conservatives and she sticks to her guns.
I’d vote for her in a heartbeat.
FWIW, in the last presidential election, I voted for her and her running mate.
She’s totally different to Obama. Look how Obama used government money to reward himself and his wife during their honeymoon the moment he got into power. Obama has no shame in living the high life on tax payers dime
She must start now to take over the GOP from the ground up. She needs to help form local and state committees, hold local assemblies and conventions and basically set up a party-within-the-party run by real conservatives. It must have its own fundraising and financial arm and its own media online arm.
We have to do this from the bottom up if we want to have a real conservative party, then it wouldn’t much matter if she was electable or not. She would still be able to run the party even if she could’nt run for President.
Great questions!
I think Sarah Palin needs to get the basics down. That she was seen reading Mark Levin’s book shows she might just be doing that. If she can knock a few interviews out of the ballpark when she ends her sabbatical, I think the skeptics will give her a second chance.
I don’t know how to answer this. I really like Sarah, and I voted for McPain due to her. However, I think she may be done with politics. She’s holing up and not being visible, not helping much and we need her. We have no real leader right now. Glenn Beck is our leader, Rush is out leader, Sarah is nowhere to be found.
She needs to be a little more visible, do a little more. I’m losing hope for her and it may be too late.
For most of these people there is little hope, until their personal life under Obama becomes so unbearable that their eyes are bulging from the sockets. By then it might be too late to avoid the plasma ovens. They are simply dead people walking. There will not be another nutless, gutless, RINO elected by the Republican party. We will either have a conservative pro-American, or we will continue to suffer under communism.
Perhaps your father is not so far gone -- send him to Sarah's Facebook page at: http://www.facebook.com/sarahpalin?ref=nf
She has over 886,497 supporters, up by more than 10,000 in the past five hours, due to the article on Yahoo.
I would support and vote for her. In fact she is the only one in the race at this point I can say that about. But I must admit that when she gives public speeches I am a little uncomfortable that she is kinda cutesy (for lack of a better word) in her presentation. It is just probably because she is the genuine article and I am not used to that in a politician. But others may interpret that as naivety or weakness. JMHO
LOL! Now that bears repeating:
“If I worked for ACORN, Id vote for her ten times.”
Sarah will be speaking in Hong Kong on Wed 9/23 (our Tue 9/22).
LOL Ping
Like the previous posters, I think Palin would make an excellent president, a heck of a lot better than any of the past 3 presidents we've had, Bush, Clinton, and infinitely better than 0bama.
Can she win in 2012?
Yes she can.
Plain will always smoke any other candidate amongst conservatives. It's the independents she's got to worry about(the Democrats don't count).
If the elections were being held today, with 0bozo at just under 50% approval, and a lot of independents still not too keen on Palin, she'd probably lose.
Good news is, the elections are not till another 3 1/2 years, and Palin is doing all the right things, and taking all the right steps to burnish her intellectual credentials and sense of fiscal responsibility amongst the public, and working quietly on getting the independents to see what a really great president she'd be.
As 0bozo’s numbers sink lower from his insane spending spree, communist policies, high unemployment, and foreign policy failures everywhere, the one who is best positioned to benefit, as the anti-0bama candidate is Gov Palin. I am going to bet that her poll numbers amongst independents are going to be much higher come a year's time. She's done all the right things since she resigned.
See my tagline.
