Negative Reactions Mystify Electronic Cigarette Owners

"There is no substantial evidence that these devices do any harm to the user or bystanders around the user," argued Spike Babaian, of Long Island, NY, in a recent press release. "Despite the plethora of evidence provided to the Suffolk County legislature, that shows evidence that these devices are no more harmful than consuming a hot dog, they have determined that the "stress, fear and confusion," which the public could potentially feel due to the presence of the fog, was sufficient reason to force vapers to follow the Suffolk County smoking ordinance and utilize these devices only in areas where smoking is allowed."

It was really only a matter of time...

I think these are great, and really do help people quit smoking.
So, it is no surprise that the FDA wants to ban them. They can’t afford to lose all those tax dollars.

Thanks for the ping.
I’ve been vaping in public since the middle of May, and have had nothing but positive reactions from those around me. One person even liked it and told me, “It smells like cotton candy.”

I guess the hardcore tobaccophobes aren’t as tough as they think or act -if the SIGHT of the vapor scares them so badly.

Because the ‘smokin Nazis’ would have to get up close and personal to distinguish that which they wish to extinguish. Since that endangers these poor souls to the hazards of 2nd and 3rd hand smoke, they feel better in banning the entire visual zeitgeist regardless of actual health impact.

They vaporize a fluid for inhalation using a coil that heats to about 60 degreed celsius.

They are battery operated. They have water and nicitine in them. So, it is just water vapors that go into your lungs and no dangerous tar or carcinagins. However, you still get the feeling of smoking and get your nicitine fix too.

I think they are pissed they can't apply a sin tax out of the box. They need to associate them with the evil weed first. Then they can tax them.
