Why would a man who prides himself on his discretion, who has been so careful not to denigrate or comment on Barack Obama, be so loose-lipped with the junior staff at the White House?
It doesnt make sense and is totally out of character.
As a biographer, Ive learned that one way to fact-check something written about a person is to see if that material is out of character, or rings true.
When I first started researching the life of Wyatt Earp I discovered there were two versions of his life. He was either good or evil with nothing in between. I soon learned that writing nasty and untrue things about Wyatt Earp was a cottage industry, treasured by liberal revisionists.
While writing my book, TRAVESTY: Frank Waters Earp Agenda Exposed, I learned that the only way to debunk the agenda of someone who wants to destroy a person is to go to original sources and debunk the the writer. This being the case, no matter how badly conservatives wish it to be, Matt Latimer does not pass the smell test. If he lied about GWB not knowing who Sarah Palin was when she was nominated, what else has he lied about? Two sources have already said he lied about Palin respected sources.
But then, that does not matter. Ive learned actual facts do not matter to intellectually dishonest conservatives who are more interested in damning anyone who does not measure up to their demands blackmail for 100% purity. Theyve become a bunch of petty little spoiled brats who have a tantrum anytime they are crossed.
Contrary to popular opinion, 5 Nobel Prize nominations, and critical acclaim, I was able to prove that Frank Waters, and alleged American literary Icon was nothing but a lying hack. I think this will soon happen with Matt Latimer.
What I do find repulsive is the fact that few Republicans and very few conservatives are coming to the defense of George W. Bush. I dont know which is worse, Latimers lies or the perfidy of the far right.
Remember all the way back in 2008 when Scott McLellens book denigrating GWB came out? Remember how all the usual conservative suspects jumped all over it, denigrating George W. Bush? Remember how they were proved wrong? It looks like the same thing is happening again.
I wish I knew why conservatives hated George W. Bush so much, but then again they detested Ronald Reagan (refer to the Pink Flamingo May, 2008 for more information). They detest Lindsey. They detest anyone they cannot control. Its that simple. They could never control George W. Bush because he has a mind of his own.
Matt Latimer has a new book out that basically turns George W. Bush into some sort of jerk. Naturally all the usual conservative suspects who hate GWB are piling on, without bothering to check the source. When the Wonkette, no friend of GWB disses the book, you know it has a problem.
It could have been an interesting read, but heres the problem: its not. It is one of the shittiest pieces of writing, ever, or at least since Uncle Toms Cabin. Did you know that not a single person in the White House knew anything about anything except for smug mid-level stenographer Matt Latimer, according to Matt Latimer?
But that isnt stopping the Bush-Haters from coming out in full force.
Dana Perino proves that Latimer is lying about what GWB is alleged to have said about Sarah Palin. If he lied about that, what else did he lie about?
...In an interview to air Tuesday morning on Fox News Chanels Fox and Friends, Bush says of Palin: Shes had executive experience, and thats what it takes to be a capable person here in Washington, D.C., in the executive branch. As a two-term governor from Texas, Bush should know. I find her to be a very dynamic, capable, smart woman, said Bush, adding, It really says that John McCain made an inspired pick.
In the Corner, Dana Perino wrote:
Seems that every administration goes through this yes, even the Obamas will have someone take advantage of the career opportunity of a lifetime to try to feather their own nest at someone elses expense no matter how far-fetched their story may be.
For example, he writes that President Bush didnt know who Sarah Palin was. Thats rubbish Bush had just met Palin the previous month in Alaska, and he mentioned that to me literally two seconds after McCain made his announcement. So much of what Latimer claims the president said dont ring true to me. I was with the president for whole days at a time, through thick and thin, and I never heard him say things like that about others. And I dont think hes ever even said the word keister. Cmon
.
I don’t know if these comments are true, and they do sound out of character for George W. Bush - BUT - the last two years of his last term....when the debate was going on about protecting our border...I got the distinct feeling that Bush had contempt for conservatives.
It really turned me off, and I give him a huge part of the blame for why Obama is our president now. I think Bush was just another RINO elite that used conservatives to get in office.
“I think Bush was just another RINO elite that used conservatives to get in office.” DING DING DING WE HAVE A WINNER!
I give him credit for fighting the offensive side of the war on terror. Aside from that he’s a former president and I have no reason to comment further.
I agree. W was a bad president who opened the door for the atrocity currently in the office, but the quotes don't seem like him.
But he was a genuine and honest individual. What does anybody care if blew of steam or had fun making wise cracks in private about friends and foe alike?
This blog looks like a set-up from the get go. I would advise ignoring their stupid tripe so as not to waste your mind or time.
ALL IMHO.
The only domestic agenda Bush attempted that was anything close to conservative was reforming social security. And that was shot down without a wimper from conservatives.
After that, the borders, the prescription drug benefits, opening trade to Red China, not leveraging the EPA to allow more domestic drilling.....stimulus money etc were NOT indicative of conservative behavior. What we witnessed is an elitist agenda. Unfortunately it took him beyond one term before people started smelling the rat.
Granted, Bush was infinitely a better leader than Al Gore and Kerry could ever hope to be. But somewhere in the middle Bush lost the label conservative. Maybe he never really was a conservative to begin with and we bought us a Sham Wow. We know the rest of the story......but the end hasn’t been written.
Just so Bush don’t reappear like a senile Jimmy Carter. We don’t need Bush speaking for anyone right now. Let Carter bask in the idiot light.
The money quote . . .

Who’d have thunk in possible: On this topic, the Wonkette writes with more intellectual and moral insight than many at FR.
First of all, the writer makes a whole bunch of sweeping assertions and characterizations that are straight out of the Alinsky playbook about what he calls ‘the far right’ and conservatives in general.
Second, the reason MANY conservatives became disillusioned with George W. Bush is that he did not GOVERN as a conservative, he governed as a big-spending, deficits be damned liberal Rockefeller-style RINO, and there is no escaping that fact when one considers the sole fact that GWB never even found his damn veto pen until 2006, and used it not for fiscal reasons, but for embryonic research reasons (and I supported that veto).
GWB for the most part was a social conservative, however he fell far short of the mark when it came to fully discharging the duties of his Office, i.e., securing our borders. It is (sorry Al Gore) an “inconvenient truth” for the legions of BushBots that more Americans have died due to the carnage inflicted on them by illegal aliens murdering, robbing and raping our fellow citizens than the number of Americans that died in the 9/11 attacks. Time and again, we see tragic stories of illegal aliens killing Americans while operating motor vehicles without driver permits, under the influence, unsafe mechanical conditions, or any combination of the three, and those tragedies can be laid right at the feet of the open borders crowd of which GWB was an avid member.
In the area of foreign policy, the first term of GWB got off to a rocky start, first with the downing of our E3 surveillance plane by the Red Chinese (and GWB’s groveling was NOT the way to respond), and then of course 9/11 to which he DID respond well. He correctly identified our enemies (that famous ‘Axis of Evil’) and followed through with the liberation of Afghanistan and Iraq. Unfortunately our former President lost his vision in his second term, allowing the State Department crowd to take over foreign policy and despite his firm statements about “not allowing Iran to have a nuclear weapon” (Dec 2008), it is safe to say that Iran DOES have a nuclear weapon and is close to deploying it. North Korea likewise exploited GWB’s naive approach with those laughable “Six Party Talks” and that is why we have a nuclear powder keg in the Far East that is just waiting for the fools and frauds in the 0bama regime to set it off through incompetence and/or maliciousness.
Did George W. Bush do some good in his two terms? Without a doubt, his tax policies were exactly what our economy needed, however his spending and expansion of government rivaled that of Lyndon Johnson and that is NOT a good thing. But the good things that he did were outweighed by his failure to secure our national borders in a time of war, combined with his inexplicable failure to defend the policies of his Administration, allowing his political enemies to define him and advance their leftist agenda, and it didn’t help that more often than not, GWB pissed on conservatives who WANTED to support him, in favor of catering to liberal ‘Rats in a flawed attempt to ‘reach across the aisle’.
And the final straw for conservatives was GWB’s arrogant attempt to ram amnesty down the throats of Americans with his “see y’all at the signing” moment.
I don’t personally care one way or the other what Matt Latimer says or doesn’t say about GWB, the historical facts speak for themselves and his writings are the journalistic equivalent of confectionery sprinklings on the top of a cup cake, they appeal to the superficial interest of the public, but have no real nutritional value whatsoever.
There are plenty of things that G W did wrong we don’t have to make them up. Just wait till the bill for the prescription drug plan starts tom come in. He was no conservative.
BS. Former President Bush was under attack for years from Saul Alinsky tactics. We didn’t know then, that was what was happening, but we sat out here with our mouths shut! We didn’t call and support him, we didn’t defend him, or give him moral support, for protecting us. We were asleep. He stood alone. And apparently still does.
He most certainly was not.
The “far right” to this author is evidently comprised of those who believe in the Constitution.
“I wish I knew why conservatives hated George W. Bush so much, but then again they detested Ronald Reagan (refer to the Pink Flamingo May, 2008 for more information). They detest Lindsey. They detest anyone they cannot control. Its that simple.”
Not sure if conservative ever “detested” RR, but we certainly weren’t impressed by Mr. “Read my lips, no new taxes” raising taxes. And as for “Lindsey,” I assume the writer refers to Senator Graham. Graham, I would say, is reviled by more than a few conservatives for being a man who seems to wish he were a woman.
Oops. Wrong George. I got the GHWB and the GWB tangled. my mistake. Reminds me of the time Anne Coulter got the Aussies’ and Canadians’ Viet Nam attitudes confused. Except I’m not on camera right now.

Hey n00b, is that you Barbara Bush? LOL
Great post. I’m not trashing either of them. I do however, believe that signing that original amnesty legislation encouraged the next, larger wave of illegal immigrants hoping for the same.
I agree with that, the failure of post-Reagan administrations to enforce the law did indeed encourage the massive wave of illegals that we’re having to deal with now. The ‘Rat Party saw them as potential voters, the GOP was stupid enough to think they could lay claim to them as well. They were both wrong, and that’s why a total housecleaning of the Congress is in order, IMHO.
