NPR: Minorities Can't Help Being Criminals, It's Just the Way Those People Are
Moonbattery ^ | September 16, 2008 | "Gregory of Yardale"

National Public Radio, the state-run media outlet that uses taxpayer money to finance propaganda for the left wing, has an explanation for the bad behavior of ACORN employees: Poor people from the inner cities are just naturally inclined toward criminal behavior.

It's also important to keep in mind that ACORN's workers are coming from the same low-income neighborhoods the organization serves, with all that entails -- poor schools, high crime and the sorts of social problems that have been documented for decades.

So the flaws conservatives are pointing out about ACORN are not so much problems associated with that organization per se but more about the problems of being poor and minority in urban America.

Question: Doesn't this kind of talk constitute racial profiling? If Joe Wilson or Sarah Palin had said, "The reason ACORN can't help being involved with tax evasion, immigration fraud, and facilitating child prostitution is because most of its employees are poor minorities," can you imagine the liberal heads that would be exploding coast to coast?

These two sentences:

It's also important to keep in mind that ACORN's workers are coming from the same low-income neighborhoods the organization serves, with all that entails -- poor schools, high crime and the sorts of social problems that have been documented for decades.

So the flaws conservatives are pointing out about ACORN are not so much problems associated with that organization per se but more about the problems of being poor and minority in urban America.

are actually from NPR's website at http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2009/09/acorn_versus_conservatives_bat.html

All satire writers are instructed to report to their local unemployment offices. Reality has caught up and passed you.

The Acorn stuff is hilarious. The sad thing is I bet they two undercover folks could have gone into a Wall Street office, make up some phony investment that could get a good rating and sell heck out of it, too.

parsy, who says the big crooks hang the little ones

Absolutely true. We need to work on defunding NPR/PBS.

This is not such a surprise. Clinton got a free pass because he was a “man with needs”. Remember, those at ACORN are the victims of circumstances they cannot control.

The idea that minorities are disadvantaged, which justifies crimes, is nothing new - it was the mantra of the 1960s Great Society programs; it’s actually a rerun of that strategy. But since nobody studies history anymore, NPR probably figured it could wheel it out, parade it, and the sheeples would buy it - hook, line, and sinker - just like they did last time!

Please excuse me, but I think it would be clearer who said what if I repost.

I have noticed that many folks are fearful of my black lab as we wander about town. She’s a sweetheart (as are most labs), but has big white teeth and apparently looks vicious. Blacks and Arabs seem to discriminate (cross the street, step way back, etc.) the most. It doesn’t seem to happen as much for dogs of lighter coats.

Excuse me? ACORN doesn’t have a leg to stand on with this answer. San Bernardino is not an inner city.

It is a moderately sized city that grew partly due to Norton AFB. It’s growth exploded in the 80 and 90’s due to the low cost of housing for the So Cal area. Many AF retiree’s moved to the area do to the good weather, low cost of living and the proximity to LA, the mountains, the deserts and the beach.
