Scott Rasmussen’s latest tracking endeavor shows that only 12% believe opposition to Health Care Reform or President Obama’s agenda is racist. We here at this agency didn’t need Scott to tell us that; we have long believed that racism only played a tiny part in what has transpired since 21 January 2009.
This space will take it a little further and claim that even most of those who outright charge Racism! only half believe it themselves. Why? Society has evolved. Things like racism just become counter-productive after awhile. Especially after a rigorous self-examination where a majority conclude they never really were anti-whatever, they were led to feel that way through advertising, media, communities, or what have you. Please don’t take this latest missive as a condoning of anything, but “hate” and racism have become buzz-words that have lost their buzz.

Blacks make up about 12-13 percent of the US population. And 12 percent here are playing the race card.

The idea that the opposition to Obama Care is complete nonsense and can be proven by the fact that all Conservatives also opposed Hillary Care, Medicare and Bush’s 750 billion dollar expansion of Medicare with Medicare Part D.
No we’re not racist. We’re just not suicidal, either. I don’t know how not wanting to do something that would harm us is being racist. It used to be if you wanted to hurt yourself, they’d put you in an institution. Now they call you a racist and want to put you in prison.
It’s so hard to keep up. Every time I leave the room, I fall behind.
That same 12% probably also believe 9-11 was an inside job, AIDS was created by the US military to reduce minority populations and Karl Rove changed the path of hurricane Katrina to devastate the New Orleans minority population.
That must mean that 88% are not racist.
