Maybe its time for the president to make another speech, because according to Rasmussen, opposition to the Obamacare plan is now at an all-all time high. Only one week since Obama's speech to a joint session of Congress, 55% of Americans now oppose Obamacare. Last week, before the speech, 53% of voters were opposed.Support bumped up after the speech to the point that 51% of voters supported the plan. But the euphoria is gone and support has returned to the downward slide.

The more bambi talks, the fewer support his ideas and the more his supporters become burned out.

He must not be used to people actually paying attention to what he says and calling him on the inconsistencies.

ZERO makes stupid remarks every time he speaks.

Joe Wilson did us a great service.

I wish it were not necessary to interupt a lying piece of work like Obama, but -— by interupting Obama, it put Obama’s HONESTY on center stage -— and the issue of illegal alien coverage.

Then, Congress and the White House were in “damage control” mode, trying to explain why Congressional Committies had, previously, rejected any measure to enforce any ban on illegal aliens being part of the plan.

Also, Obama now says “30 million” uninsured, when he has been saying “50 million” uninsured, the difference being ILLEGALS!

Obama speaks.

The public hears what he says, and some try hard to believe Obama.

Then, the “fact check” stuff comes out.

-—And Obama sinks even further, at least with those who are paying attention!

If he provides actual details for all to see, support will go to zero (which, come to think of it, will be quite appropriate for 0bama).

It doesn’t help when Nancy Pelosi treats him like he has some sort of handicap and tries to shield him from criticism and ridicule- the same challenges that have made other leaders stronger.

Another FReeper reminded me of a quote by President Bush..

“it is the soft bigotry of lowered expectations..”

Sound familiar?

The Five Rules of Propaganda

Here are five basic rules of propaganda, courtesy of Norman Davies in his extraordinary book “Europe: A History”:

The rule of simplification: reducing all data to a simple confrontation between ‘Good and Bad’, ‘Friend and Foe’.

The rule of disfiguration: discrediting the opposition by crude smears and parodies.

The rule of transfusion: manipulating the consensus values of the target audience for one’s own ends.

The rule of unanimity: presenting one’s viewpoint as if it were the unanimous opinion of all right-thinking people: draining the doubting individual into agreement by the appeal of star-performers, by social pressure, and by ‘psychological contagion’.

The rule of orchestration: endlessly repeating the same messages in different variations and combinations.
