It must be racism. It couldn’t be that people just don’t support his far left wing socialist positions.

I can't take credit for this quote but it is classic:

That bounce went down quicker than an Acorn Ho at a Democratic convention.

“It must be racism. It couldn’t be that people just don’t support his far left wing socialist positions.”

Right. If ONLY the Left could understand that racism plays NO PART in any of this dissent. Either they know that and just continue to peddle their faux outrage, or they do NOT know it and need a good dose of education. It has nothing, nothing, NOTHING to do with skin color. My great-grandparents and grandparents had much disdain for FDR’s POLICIES. To the Dems: It’s the POLICIES, stupid!

The polling on the Obama Speech is very interesting. It clearly failed to gain him any improvement in the numbers supporting the Government Takeover of the Health Industry. But IT DID IMPROVE his overall popularity. That improvement is probably temporary (as you can see from today and yesterday's Rasmussen poll numbers) but it is interesting nonetheless.

Obama can still give himself a bump in the polls just by showing up on TV. But he can't move the voting public to support his initiatives. The bloom is still not quite completely off the rose. As time moves on, however, the popularity of his policies and the man himself will merge and the poll bumps will get smaller and less frequent. You can count on it.

The new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 41% would vote for their district’s Republican congressional candidate while 40% would opt for his or her Democratic opponent.

USa Today must have Polled like CNN speech.

Just as they didn't support Hillary's back in the 90's. Racism indeed.

How perceptive of USA Today but have they noticed yet the fact that 1 million plus folks protested the Prez in their backyard yet? Forest for the trees? They need to go out of business...

America has the finest health care in the world from preventative maintenance to emergency heart surgery, there is no place on earth where a person can get more attention on short notice.

There are laws in this country that prevent hospitals from turning patients away in an emergency room. Everyone who wants or needs healthcare “can” get it.

This debate is about insurance coverage and the cost. If insurance and medicine costs less, insurance is cheaper and more could afford it, whether it be employers or individuals. The poor, the old, the dissabled already get medicaid and medicare, we have the support for them.

When up to 30% of the direct and indirects costs go to a combined preventative/protective medicine testing waste and medical malpractice premiums, there is a very real way to reduce costs. When states do not allow insurance companies to offer coverage across state lines, you reduce competition and there is less supply. When states have laws that require employers and insurance companies to cover specifics, it creates waste.

There are simple solutions that will not add $1 trillion in brand new deficit over 10 years on top of the $2 trillion we have already added in 2009. Free up the market across the nation. Tort reform that forbids lawsuits for “undiagnosis” or “punishment”, cap liability cases and charge the prosecuting attorney fines for frivolous suits and defense attorney costs on lost cases. 50% of the problem will be solved.

As it stands now, we are losing doctors in droves across the country. Insurance companies are not putting the patient first and doctors are afraid of being sued. Now the government want to step in to make sure the insurance companies will look out for the patients instead of their investors and that the doctors behave themselves and not fear attorneys. The government will be the next monster introduced into healthcare that will detract from the concerns of the patients.

Obama is over-exposed ... but I wonder just what will happen after his upcoming TV marathon. I figure he will get an initial boost, then a steep plunge after the viewers wake up from his campaign mode to hypnotize the masses.

Let them keep beating the racism drum and continue to marginalize the general public’s actions. The natives are not yet restless enough.
